(Photo : SBS ) Han Ye Seul may return to K-Drama, as the female lead in the upcoming jTBC series, "Madame Antoine." On October 14, the Korean outlet 10Asia published a report outlining the drama, which is the latest project of scriptwriter wunderkinds, The Hong Sisters.
A spokesperson for Key East Entertainment, the agency which houses the popular actress, confirmed her consideration of the project.
"Han Ye Seul is positively considering a role in "Madame Antoine," said a representative for Key East Entertainment, in a statement published by 10Asia.
"Madame Antoine" is a described as a psychological medical comedy, that will follow the disaster series, "D-Day."
If she accepts the role, "Madame Antoine" would serve as the first series on jTBC that Han has appeared in.
The drama will benefit from screenwriting by the Hong Sisters, who recently completed the MBC romantic comedy, "Warm and Cozy." They continue to make significant contributions to Korean entertainment, as the creators of iconic series like "My Girl," "You"re Beautiful," and "The Greatest Love."
"Madame Antoine" would serve as a reunion for the Hong Sisters andHan Ye Seul, who last worked together on the 2006 drama, "Couple or Trouble," a loose adaptation of the 1987 Hollywood movie, "Overboard." Han experienced her breakout role as Anna Jo, a contemptuous American heiress who returns to Korea with her husband, before experiencing amnesia during a yachting accident.
Her last drama appearance was in the 2014 series, "Birth of a Beauty" as Sa Geum Ran, a downtrodden housewife who transcends her ill-fated marriagewhen she undergoes extensive plastic surgery, as she is believed to be dead. Her heartfelt portrayal of the role was well received by both audiences and critics.
