Today I bring you historical tragedy, workforce tragedy and pathetic excuses as to why I have forgotten to let you know which dramas I will be covering. "Queen for 7 Days" has a lot of goodies out and there shall be tears. "Strongest Deliveryman" brings food and the woes of employment to the forefront. Read on for more weekly drama news.

Short-lived Positions

"Queen for 7 Days" tells the story of Queen Dangyeong, or rather her very short time as one. The first, cheerful teaser is quite confusing given the historical context, but the second video and the posters seem to paint a clearer picture. Her story is not exactly a happy one. As this piece and the title describe, she was chosen as a queen and taken down within seven days through the political machinations of others. If you like your period dramas, you might want to check this out.

Revenge stemming from the sense of injustice is not a new concept in Korean drama, but where there is usually one hero fighting for their personal cause, "Lookout" inserts a cast of characters working together for the justice they have all been denied. The cast off characters offers variety and the potential for a gripping story.

"Lookout" tells the story of people whose lives have been touched by crime and the lack of justice. Detective Jo Soo-ji (Lee Si-young), who tragically loses her daughter leads the team of vigilantes as they attempt to make justice in a world where corruption and dirty interests dictate who matters in the eyes of the law.

Aliens that do not come to Earth ready for romance with their reincarnated love from the Joseon dynasty have just not been a thing in Korean drama. Science fiction as a genre is a very rare one even in Korean cinema. Yet perhaps Dramaland is ready to tackle it as more than romance garnish for a change. Enter "Circle".

A mysterious disappearance and the arrival of extraterrestrial life in 2017, a mysterious murder in 2037. The story of "Circle" takes place in two timelines and it deals with a world experiencing its first alien contact and evolving through it. The citizens of the future attempt to end violence by controlling human emotion with its technology.

[HanCinema’s Drama Review] “Tunnel – Drama” Episode 15

The clock is ticking as Mok Jin-woo keeps Jae-i alive while he tries to get the location of his fountain pen out of her. The police team mobilizes every person they can get without making the investigation open. Unfortunately, a closed investigation does not help when the killer has a direct line to their office. The team must understand Jin-woo's past to find his location and time is running out.

Given how the episode ends, I am guessing that Gwang-ho (Choi Jin-hyuk) will return to his timeline and change the present after all. That is unless they pull a different time manipulation in the form of editing and Gwang-ho's realization of Jin-woo's (Kim Min-sang-I) plans happened early enough to barge into Jae-i's (Lee Yoo-young) home just in time to save her. I can see both possibilities working out just fine, since we do have time on our side.
