Lee Jong Suk gave fifty out of a total score of one hundred on his chemistry with his co-star Park Bo Young.
During press conference for the upcoming movie Boil Youth, which took place on December 30 at the Lotte cinema theatres near Konkuk Univeristy, Lee Jong Suk answered “fifty” when questioned about his teamwork with Park Bo Young.
“I was in the countryside for the entire time of filming with Park Bo Young, but we didn’t get that close,” said Lee Jong Suk. “It’s too bad, since we are similar in age.”
Park Bo Young, who gave a higher score of eighty on her chemistry with Lee Jong Suk, made everyone laugh when she said, “I think there will be many news articles after this about how we’re not close. Can I change my score?”
She continued, “There weren’t as many scenes where we were in intimate scenes
Oh my, what a strong word to come from the Prince of Smile, Lee Seung Gi, who has always presented a clean and wholesome image! However, that was exactly the word he uses to describe a back hug by a female Airen (official name of Lee Seung Gi’s fanclub), at “The Brilliant Show” fan meeting held in Singapore on September 7 at the Resorts World Sentosa Festive Grand Theatre.

On December 26, viewer rating research company Nielson Korea released a summary of the viewer ratings for shows broadcast in 2013 based on 3134 households from January 1 to December 22.
According to their report, of the top 20 dramas, KBS‘s “My Daughter Seo Young” received the honor of the most-viewed drama of the year, with a whopping 40.7% viewer rating. Following in second place is the currently-airing KBS drama “King’s Family” with 29.0%, and then it is KBS’s “Cheer Up, Mr. Kim” with 28.5%, and KBS’s “You’re the Best, Lee Soon Shin” with 25.8%, in third and fifth places, respectively.
While B2UTIES will always have a special place in their hearts, the B2ST members temporarily made some spots for some lucky ladies, who’ve had the chance to work with B2ST on different occasions.

“Reply 1994″ actress Dohee revealed what her friends said about her no-makeup face after the shot aired on TV.
On December 28, MBC “Human Documentary” aired a year-end special updating viewers with what stars are up to and what has changed after they appeared on the TV program.
Dohee, who revealed her no-makeup face on the 55th episode of the TV show, got a chance to share with the viewers some surprising comments she got from the people around her. She said, “My closest friends said things like, ‘Are you crazy? Why would you appear on TV without any makeup?’”
Dohee also said, “My acquaintances said in a rather roundabout way like, ‘Well, but you hid nothing.’”

“Reply 1994” couple Sam Cheon Po and Jo Yoon Jin, played by actors Kim Sung Kyun and Tiny-G’s Do Hee respectively, are set to appear on an upcoming episode of “Happy Together.”
The pair filmed for the third season of KBS variety program “Happy Together” on December 28, according to a KBS official. The episode which they filmed for was a special episode titled “2014’s Rising Stars,” and besides the “Reply 1994” couple, Han Joo Wan from weekend drama “King’s Family,” and Seo Ha Joon of recently ended MBC daily drama “Princess Aurora” and Dal Shabet’s Subin are expected to feature on the show as well
SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday drama “Man from the Stars” sold its publication rights to China.
The drama proves to be a great success by recording a nationwide rating of 20% on December 18, and it has made the headlines again by revealing that its publication rights have been sold to a Chinese broadcaster for an all-time highest rate.
Even prior to airing the first episode, a Chinese media company showed its interest in “Man from the Stars,” and since December 18, the drama has been airing simultaneously in both Korea and China. Chinese viewers are able to watch the drama through mobile drama site PPTV, and it has been met with a highly positive response.
Thanks to the popularity of Hallyu stars Kim Soo Hyun, Park Hae Jin, and Jun Ji Hyun, ”Man from the Stars” has successfully charmed the Chinese audience

Have you heard about the American remake of “Boys Over Flowers”? The story of a middle-class girl and four wealthy, handsome bullies has been made into at least four TV shows around the world — the most famous being the 2009 Korean drama starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong. The U.S. version, called “Boys Before Friends,” premiered last night, exclusively on Viki.com.
“Boys Before Friends” was first announced as an independent project and was financed by fans on the online crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. Some fans are curious and excited about the remake, while others are skeptical that it will be able to live up to the fame of the Asian versions.

This week brought two more solid “Man from the Stars” episodes. Do Min Joon’s past connection to Chun Song Yi is slowly being revealed, creating a rich backdrop to complement his present actions. Song Yi remains a strong, yet struggling character as she deals with a variety of issues ranging from sickness to even a murder case. I love how despite Min Joon’s commitment to noninterference, he keeps getting dragged into Song Yi’s complicated life
According to Nielson Korea, the fourth episode of SBS‘s Wed-Thurs drama “Man from the Stars” brought in 20.1% of the viewership. Starting off strong right from the beginning, each episode of the drama has seen a rise in ratings, and only in its fourth episode, it has passed the 20% mark. The first episode recorded 15.6%, the second 18.3%, and the third 19.4%.
The ratings for competing dramas MBC‘s “Miss Korea” and KBS2‘s “Beautiful Man” were 7.7% and 4.3%, respectively.
The romantic drama “My Lover From the Stars” follows the alien named Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) who has been on earth since the Joseon dynasty. As an alien, Do Min Joon possesses superhuman powers. Do Min Joon ends up falling in love with star actress Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun)

On the December 26 episode of tvN’s “Cheongdam-dong 111,” viewers got to watch how FNC Entertainment distributed the year-end incomes to their artists. As it was revealed that the company artists were given their incomes twice a year, the recent episode of the tvN reality show went into detail of how FTIsland and CNBlue members split their pay.

SBS’ You Who Came From the Stars hit the 20 percent mark on Thursday night with its fourth episode.
The drama recorded 20.1 percent as the mystery and the love story continues to unfold between the alien man Do Min Jun (Kim Soo Hyun) and top actress Chun Song Yi. The episode also came with a surprise drunken kiss, which left viewers′s hearts pounding against their chests. With most eyes on the Stars, the ratings for its competitors lacked, with MBC’s Miss Korea not decreasing, but not increasing either. KBS’ Pretty Boy dropped to 4.3 percent.

A flashback to Joseon takes us to the aftermath of doppelganger Yi-hwa’s kidnapping.
