Lee Seung Gi Talks About His Experience with His First Movie, Where He Reunites with Moon Chae Won

Ten years into his debut, Lee Seung Gi recently did an interview with Star News to talk about his past, present, and future career. One of the questions he was asked had to do with how he felt about embracing his 10 year anniversary—“already” 10 years versus “only” 10 years.

Lee Seung Gi replied, “I think I view it more with the thought of ‘It’s only been 10 years?’ When I first debuted, my seniors who had already been in the industry for seven or eight years seemed like giants to me. But now that I’ve personally reached 10 years, I don’t think I have the certainty in myself that I had imagined I would have.”

The top 5 K-drama Villains We Love To Hate

Wrapping up You Are All Surrounded and reflecting on the perfidy of Assemblyman Yoo, I realize I have become completely spoiled. I am used to my K-drama villains so ruthless, evil and crazy, that a man with a 20 year slow climb to power got a “meh, I guess he’s bad.” K-dramas have a wide variety of villains and some you love to hate. Sometimes you just need to stand up and cheer when these Baddies get their due. Here are five villains we love to hate:

25. SHINee “Dream Girl”
Label:
SM Entertainment
Release Date: February 19th, 2013

SHINee“s been a busy, busy group this year, knocking out comeback after comeback with very little time for breaks in between- so much so that it seems like “Dream Girl“, their first video of 2013, came out much earlier than it actually did. The video features all five guys navigating a strange, topsy-turvy dream world while chasing a faceless girl in a painting through rooms where time and gravity have no meaning.

Age of Feeling: Episode 8 recap by drama beans

In order to help Jung-tae learn how to fight against swords, Boss Hwang takes him to the gibang to meet Ajusshi Choi. Though Jung-tae’s known him for a while, he seems unaware of Ajusshi’s past as a guard for the Korean Empire (which ended in 1910 when Japan annexed Korea).

So Ajusshi Choi takes Jung-tae under his tutelage, and despite what I thought, Jung-tae isn’t trying to learn how to use a sword, but to fight unarmed against one. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but… why wouldn’t he want to use a sword even just as a shield instead of relying on his squishy human flesh for protection?

K-Drama Feature: Makjang
Love it or hate it, K-Dramas are rife with makjang, the Korean term for over the top or ridiculous subplots and coincidences that keep the viewers tuning in week after week. A drama doesn”t have to be terrible or illogical to be makjang, it could be extremely well-acted or tug at your heartstrings.

Despite the negative connotations, does it truly have to be a bad thing? There are some great dramas that are simply amazing to watch, but when you try and sit down to describe the plot, it seems to get, well, laughable. To wit, here are just a few entertaining dramas that have absolutely preposterous storylines (WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD):

Cross Gene set off to find their 'Amazing -Bad Lady-'

Cross Gene has released their newest digital single “Amazing -Bad Lady-“!
The song is a medium tempo dance song with a dynamic drum sound, highlighting Cross Gene”s masculine sexiness perfectly. “Amazing -Bad Lady-” is Cross Gene”s first Korean song in 2 years since “TIMELESS” in 2012.

Super Junior Returns with Catchy but Problematic “Mamacita” Written by Leslie On September 6, 2014

Has it really been two years? Is Leeteuk really back already? I can’t believe two years passed so fast. It helped that Super Junior hasn’t done much. Actually they really haven’t done anything aside from some short Super Junior-M promotions for “Swing” earlier this year and their world tour Super Show 5, which again sadly didn’t make it to the US as they had promised they would again (yes, the redundancy was intentional — side-eyeing SM real hard right now).

Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won played boyfriend and girlfriend in the drama “Shining Inheritance,” although in the end she did not get to keep him. Her cruel behavior toward her stepsister, played by Han Hyo Joo, cost her the man she wanted.
