We asked them some really, really hard questions (sorry about that!) but I think you’ll all enjoy their answers! Check out the full interview below.

Okay, first things first, what is your favorite show this season?

javabeans: Pshhhh…. long silence…

javabeans: There are a lot of shows I like right now, not one that is my all time favorite… “Joseon Gunman?” It’s not the awesome amazing 100% I wanted, but it’s pretty good

Top 10 K-Drama Cameos By Your Favourite Actors and Actresses

By in News posted Oct August 26th, 2014 No comments

K-drama cameos are fun little surprises for fans. When you recognize an unexpected face on the screen, it’s like being part of a secret drama club! Here (in no particular order) are just a few of the best K-drama cameos:

1. Yoon Eun Hye, Personal Taste, episode 8

This cameo is for every person who has ever wished that Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Min Ho would share the screen in a romantic drama. Sadly, Eun Hye was only onscreen for a few minutes as Lee Min Ho’s ex.

(Fun fact: Kim Nam Gil also had an unscripted cameo in this drama when he happened to be passing by the filming site and agreed to sit in as a patron in a coffee shop.)

2. Kim Hyun Joong, Dream High, episode 1

What better way to lend legitimacy to the premise of a prestigious performing arts school than to claim Kim Hyun Joong as a former student? If only he had stayed long enough to sing a song with the other students!

Top 11 Most Realistic K-Drama Gender Bender Characters

By in News posted Oct August 25th, 2014 No comments

Dressing as a boy in real life simply to win over a boy you like probably isn’t the path most people would choose. That being said, gender bending is an incredibly popular K-drama trope, with Joseon Gunman becoming the latest drama to feature a girl who dresses as a boy. Some of these dramas are more convincing than others in terms of how believable the act is. Here are our rankings of who sold their boyish features best:

1. Coffee Prince

Believability score: 20/20

Yoon Eun Hye is the clear winner when it comes to selling her androgyny. She captures both the looks and mannerisms of a boy, and she sells her performance. Her reasons for dressing as a boy are pretty weak (The coffee shop only hires boys? Whaaaaaa-?), but, given that she was mistaken as a boy and then decided to go with it to make some extra cash, we’ll let it slide

ANGEL EYES EPISODE 16
Soo Wan gives the engagement ring back to Dong Joo and breaks up with him, which is not taken well by Hye Joo. Although Dong Joo and Soo Wan keep vigil over and talk to Director Yoon (separately of course), he is still in a coma and cannot hear them or respond. Meanwhile, Woo Chul gets some air on the hospital balcony and overhears Young Ji talking to the Chief of Police about that case while Ji Woon offers Soo Wan more advice about her father. Jin Mo comes down with some virus and passes it to Hye Joo, who gets hospitalized and Dong Joo spends the rest of the episode depressed, occasionally crying. Ji Woon asks more about the hit and run accident, and then we figure out it was him who ran over Jung HwaDong Joo expresses to Director Yoon that he wishes he were awake, so he had someone to talk to

(Drama Review) ‘Angel Eyes’ – Episode 15

ANGEL EYES EPISODE 15
When we last left our couple, Soo Wan happened upon Dong Joo haranguing Director Yoon about his crime and overheard what Director Yoon did to Jung Hwa. Min Soo tries to comfort her, but Soo Wan walks off like a zombie. She goes through her routine like this and finally confronts her father about it. When she walks out on him, her father collapses. Dong Joo, looking for Soo Wan, finds Director Yoon, and takes him to the OR. Soo Wan cannot be found and is hiding out at their intended home. She makes a decision to leave Dong Joo. He takes her to the church where his mother went during tough times and Soo Wan hands him back her engagement ring...

And I guess I don"t quite get it. My mouth was open from the time Soo Wan talked about letting Dong Joo go to the end of the episode (which made my outh quite dry despite the tears flooding in)

'Jewel In The Palace' Is A Hit in Cuba

By in News posted Oct November 10th, 2014 No comments

Now that Cubans have discovered k-dramas, they can"t get enough of them. Early last year they had their first taste of k-drama goodness with the 2009 comedy "Queen of Housewives." The comedy aired on the Canal Habana, winning ratings of 70 percent. Next, Cuban audiences sampled "My Fair Lady" which featured Yoon Eun Hye as the spoiled rich girl and Yoon Sang Hyun as her chauffer. The romantic comedy made Yoon Sang Hyun a sought-after star in Cuba. Next aired was "Secret Garden," the body swap comedy that stars Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won. Now the historical drama "Jewel in The Palace," also known as "Dae Jang Geum" is airing.

Censors are currently reviewing "Boys Over Flowers," which stars Lee Min Ho. But many Cubans are not waiting for the official review

Spotlight: Park Yoochun, The Successful Idol-Turned-Actor Written by Joyce On September 3, 2014

With his boyish grin and smiley eyes, one would have expected Yoochun to always stick to the role of Prince Charming in rom-coms. Compared to thrillers and melodramas, rom-coms are much easier to navigate for an actor coming from the music scene. But instead, Yoochun has taken it upon himself to challenge his abilities beyond that of a mere flower boy, by selecting projects from a variety of genres such as action thriller Three Days, melodrama Missing You, and now, the at-sea film Sea Fog.

After four years in the acting industry, our resident JYJ actor has finally made his big screen debut in Sea Fog,opposite much lauded veteran actors

Joo Ji Hoon has played a prince more than once. He was a modern fictional prince reluctant to marry Yoon Eun Hye in "Princess Hours," also known as Goong." And he played the dual roles of prince and pauper in the "Prince and the Pauper" inspired film "I Am A King."

In those roles he may have learned that being royal does not always make you right.

For his next role, he will play a royal servant who secretly disobeys a wicked king"s orders.

That film is "Gashin," Kim Kyu Dong"s first historical film. The film recently announced its cast of actors.
