Lee Min Ho Talks About Why He Chose ‘The Heirs’

By in News posted Oct December 31st, 2013 No comments

What made Lee Min Ho choose to star in the drama The Heirs?

Even though the drama was a success, many of his fans had worried in the beginning that his role in The Heirs overlapped with the one he played in Boys Over Flowers.

They were similar in that they were both 18-year-olds from a multi-millionaire family, who goes against the parents and falls in love with a poor girl.

Differentiating the two characters was a task for Lee Min Ho to solve.

In a recent interview with Newsen, Lee Min Ho expressed his respect for the drama writer, Kim Eun Sook.

“I thought that when a man is around 26 or 27 years old, that’s when he can pull off both manly charisma and innocent boy’s charm

Actor Lee Min Ho recently sat down for an interview with Daily Sports and talked about what it was like to work with Korea’s sweetheart Park Shin Hye and having to wear high school uniforms again.

How was it working opposite Park Shin Hye?

“Park Shin Hye is young in age, but in terms of acting experience, she is my senior. To be honest, I’m not exactly good at talking to female actresses about acting or offering them support. I just act according to how I feel, and I’m just thankful that Park Shin Hye goes with it. I also discovered that Park Shin Hye is the first younger female actress I’ve worked with. Until now, I’ve worked with older actresses like Goo Hye Sun and Kim Hee Sun. I think she’s a terrific colleague and consider her a younger sibling

The question was brought up after a teaser video of “SBS Gayo Daejun” was uploaded on the year-end show’s official website. The short teaser clip shows a parody of SBS’ popular drama “The Heirs,” which seems to be a part of a music drama that SBS is preparing for their show. A student with Choi Young Do’s name tag enters the scene, surprising A Pink‘s Son Na Eun and causing other students to show signs of confusion. The rebellious character received much love from the viewers and was played by the handsome Kim Woo Bin, making “The Heirs” one of this winter’s hottest dramas.

Kim Ji Won Talks Character and Possibility of Real-Life Couples from “The Heirs”

By in News posted Oct December 26th, 2013 No comments

Kim Ji Won took on the spoiled rich girl role as Rachel Yoo in “The Heirs,” a departure from previous roles playing good girls. In an interview with My Daily, she talked about her role in the drama, as well as shared her thoughts on the drama pairings.

Kim Ji Won watched writer Kim Eun Sook’s previous works to prepare for her character, and thought that Park Min Sook (Kim Jung Nan) from “A Gentleman’s Dignity” would be what Rachel would be like when she grew up.

In person, Kim Ji Won is the exact opposite of Rachel Yoo. While Rachel Yoo comes straight to the point, and always says what she wants to say, Kim Ji Won comes across as being surprisingly shy. She doesn’t get angry easily, and she thinks about saying something for a while before she says it, so she says she’s missed the opportunity to speak up many times
