RECAP: FIFTH RECORD
Min-joon saves Song-yi from falling overboard, and as he puts her to bed, she pulls him down to her to give him a kiss. She murmurs, “You’ve gone crazy,” but it’s more to herself than to him, believing herself to be dreaming him up. She hushes him from speaking and sighs, “Yeah, I was too lonely all this time and it’s been hard on my body. I’m even dreaming up sexy dreams now. It’s time I married. Hormones are honest.”Drifting off to sleep, Song-yi curls into Min-joon’s coat for warmth—the one he’s wearing, which pulls him even closer to her. Looking completely out of his element (well, even more than he is, for being an alien and all), Min-joon carefully extricates himself. As soon as he exits, he overhears scary hyung Jae-kyung confirming with his secretary that “it” has been completed, without witnesses, and that if not for somebody being greedy, he wouldn’t have had to do this
Lee Min Ho talked about acting alongside Kim Woo Bin in The Heirs.
After starring as an 18-year-old high schooler who throws out everything for love, Lee Min Ho talked about Kim Woo Bin, who acted as his rival and a friend throughout the drama.
In a recent interview with Newsen, Lee Min Ho said “I was in America to film the first four episodes and came back to Korea to film the fifth episode, and that’s when I met Kim Woo Bin for the first time.”
“The first time I acted with Kim Woo Bin, I could feel the energy out of him,” continued the actor. “I felt sure that the drama would involve an intense love triangle, if it was going to involve an actor like him. And I guessed right.”
As the popularity of the drama increased, many fans started dividing into fans of Lee Min Ho versus fans of Kim Woo Bin, with the press also focusing its attention on the two male actors in the drama
The live blog team is currently running on dangerous amounts of caffeine, and I’m pretty sure I just saw a purple elephant fly by the window but the show must go on. So far we’ve covered the all three Entertainment Awards from KBS, SBS, and MBC, the SBS Gayo Daejun, and the MBC Drama Awards. Now, we will be ending the year with a bang by proving live blog coverage of the 2013 SBS Drama Awards AND the 2013 KBS Drama Awards, which are airing later today at the same time.
First, I’m going to shake my fists at these broadcasters for not separating their awards out. After that’s done, we’re happy to announce that we will be covering both awards at the same time here at Soompi. This is going to be an interesting way of finishing the year, that’s for sure
What made Lee Min Ho choose to star in the drama The Heirs?
Even though the drama was a success, many of his fans had worried in the beginning that his role in The Heirs overlapped with the one he played in Boys Over Flowers.
They were similar in that they were both 18-year-olds from a multi-millionaire family, who goes against the parents and falls in love with a poor girl.
Differentiating the two characters was a task for Lee Min Ho to solve.
In a recent interview with Newsen, Lee Min Ho expressed his respect for the drama writer, Kim Eun Sook.
“I thought that when a man is around 26 or 27 years old, that’s when he can pull off both manly charisma and innocent boy’s charm
In this week’s K-Pop Battle, we’re spotlighting two stars who have successfully crossed over into various realms of the entertainment world.

It’s said that it was on the photo shoot of this magazine that he watched the last episode of The Heirs, making the interview focus a little on his character, Choi Young Do.
“Unlike Choi Young Do in The Heirs, I was raised with a lot of love from my parents,” said Kim Woo Bin. “We even have a family Kakaotalk chat room. And I’m really close with my little sister who is three years younger than I am.”
Now that the drama was over, he was asked what kind of things he wants to try these days
The new SBS drama “Man from the Stars” kicked off on December 18 taking over the Wednesday/Thursday time slot from Heirs. I will be covering this fantasy rom-com for Soompi on a weekly basis. Please be sure to check in and share your thoughts about this drama!
When Do Min Joon landed on Earth 400 years ago, he didn’t realize how much he would dislike living there. He doesn’t age, making it very hard to build relationships with other people, and his super abilities like extra sensitive hearing and the power to stop time don’t seem to do him much good. It’s understandable that over time Min Joon has developed a very cynical outlook towards human life. How will this viewpoint change as he interacts with the loud and opinionated actress Chun Song Yi? As fate would have it, these two already have a deep connection, a connection which spans over 400 years

2013’s top two spots were taken by married couple Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung, with 11.0% and 8.1% of votes respectively. Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung have had a great 2013, each starring in well-received dramas and finally getting married after a seven-year romance. Actor Jang Geun Suk just might revive “Beautiful Man”’s flagging ratings with his willpower.
Jang Geun Suk is currently starring in “Beautiful Man.” He once said that he would like to make a name for himself as an actor, and it’s clear that his strong willpower is still ever present.
Playing the male lead Dokko Ma Te on KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Beautiful Man,” Jang Geun Suk is undeniably the center of the drama, and his name cannot be omitted when one brings up the drama. However, the drama hasn’t been doing too well in the ratings battle, with the recently ended “The Heirs” eating up most of the viewership pie. With two new dramas from SBS, “Man from the Stars,” and MBC, “Miss Korea,” starting tonight, we will just have to wait and see which card viewers end up picking in this drama shuffle

He will be taking part in a parody of SBS 2013 hit drama “Master’s Sun” and “The Heirs,” playing the part of Joo Joong Won from “Master’s Sun.” Appearing along with him are A Pink’s Son Na Eun and her “We Got Married” co-star SHINee’s Taemin and Girl’s Day’s Minah. They will be spreading a special message via a music drama parody that features cameos from top idol groups, SHINee, 2PM, Girl’s Day, A Pink and EXO.

The two are currently married on MBC’s We Got Married, but each will act with a different partner for the upcoming music dramas.
Taemin said “I got really close to Son Na Eun through We Got Married so we weren’t awkward with each other while filming the music dramas.”
Son Na Eun agreed by saying, “Even though we filmed different music dramas, there were many scenes where all four of us appeared together, so I enjoyed filming
On December 17, Park Shin Hye attended a press conference for “The Heirs” and talked about how she felt about the drama after it aired its final episode.
When asked who she would pick between Kim Tan and Choi Young Do in real life, she replied, “If you told me I had to pick one between the two? That would be difficult. Wouldn’t you have to think about your future in-laws and stuff related to that? Young Do’s father is scary, but since he won’t ever lay a hand on a woman, I suppose he might be better than the rest. I guess I personally would prefer someone who listens to me, but I still think I would choose Tan.”
When asked to pick between Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin in real life, she joked, “It would be perfect if you could combine half of the qualities from each of them into one guy
Park Shin Hye talked about having fallen into an acting slump in the past.
During the press meeting, which took place on December 17 in Shinsa-dong, Park Shin Hye said, “If I compare myself to ‘Eun Sang’ from The Heirs, I also had a lot of concerns when I was 18 years old. I think that’s when I fell into an acting slump. I hated being called a ‘child actress’ and felt a lot of pressure.”
“I wanted to transition into being an adult actress naturally, but only received comments saying that I looked unnatural acting roles that were much older than I was,” continued the actress.
“So when I started college, I decided to focus on my studies instead of on acting. But at the time, Go Ara, Kim Bum and Kim So Eun, who were around the same age as me, started acting widely in various projects, which made me doubt my decision
