With Mamma Mia now airing on Wednesday nights, KBS introduced its newest program Superman is Back, already signaling a future hit.
The program showed four celebrity fathers as they sent their wives off on a 48 hour vacation and babysat the kids. While all the children were adorable, the ones that especially stood out were mixed martial artist Choo Sung Hoon and his 2-year old daughter Choo Salang, and Epik High’s Tablo and 4-year old daughter, Lee Haru.
Singer-actress Uee recently had her first script reading for the new MBC weekend drama, “Golden Rainbow,” along with co-stars Jung Il Woo and Lee Jae Yoon and showcased her great focus and acting ability.
Uee, playing the role of Baek Won, completely fell into the role during the reading, even spilling tears during a rough emotional scene. Jung Il Woo, playing the role of Do Young, also looked comfortable in his role as a cunning prosecutor. Uee and Jung Il Woo are taking over Kim Yoo Jung and Oh Jae Mu, who had been playing the younger counterparts of their respective characters.
After School’s Uee recently delivered a sizzling pole dance performance for a scene in the drama, “Golden Rainbow.” Stills from Uee’s scene were released on November 29 and attracted much public interest.
The shoot for the scene took place at a club somewhere in Seoul. Uee was said to have expertly applied her dance experience with After School to her scene for a successful shoot.
Uee currently plays the adult role of Baek Won in the drama “Golden Rainbow” while famous young actress Kim Yoo Jung plays her younger counterpart. In the drama, Baek Won and her six orphan, non-blood related siblings go through various trials and rely on each other while facing difficult circumstances.
The costs for booking popular child actors Yeo Jin Goo, Kim So Hyun, and Kim Yoo Jung have been revealed.
The costs were revealed December 3, on MBC’s “Good Day,” while comparing the dramas “Golden Rainbow” and “May Queen.”
Kim Yoo Jung, who is currently doing great on “Golden Rainbow,” receives roughly 6,000,000 won ($5,650) per episode. Kim So Hyun, who has been the called the “second Son Ye Jin,” was revealed to receive about the same amount, at 4-6,000,000 won ($3,800-$5,650) per episode.
Featuring rare variety appearances, MBC’ Infinity Challenge stole the spotlight during the weekend.
On December 14’s episode of Infinity Challenge, the cast members went off to find lonely friends for their ‘Introducing Lonely Friends’ holiday party.
While the members visited many of their single friends, the two that stood out were So Ji Sub and Lee Dong Wook, who rarely appear on variety programs. The two caught on immediately when Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Hong Chul, and Jung Jun Ha asked if they were lonely. Both actors claimed that they were not lonely but were forced to take an invitation.
Sunday night was a miraculous night with 125 singers gathering on one stage together at the 2013 SBS Gayo Awards.
The music ceremony brought all the popular singers who have promoted in 2013 from Big Bang’s G-Dragon to Lee Seung Chul.
Not only did these artists put on spectacular collaborations and performances, they also gathered for 2013 Gayo Awards Friendship Project, revealing the results through a music video and a stage performance, which concluded the four-hour program.
Saturday brought an end and a new beginning of MBC’s We Got Married but with a twist.
On We Got Married, SHINee’s Taemin and A Pink’s Son Na Eun concluded their first love married life in the middle of lots of controversy and criticism after a staff member was caught swearing at Taemin in a behind-the-scenes clip.
2PM’s Wooyoung and actress Park Se Young will be entering the marriage world next week.
While tears flowed on We Got Married, different kinds of tears fell on MBC’s Infinity Challenge on its ‘What If’ special. The members created ‘What If’ scenarios that ultimately had Noh Hong Chul and Gil creating their own version of We Got Married with model Jang Yoon Joo and Song Eun Yi as their wives.
After school’s Uee and SNSD’s Seohyun were spotted wearing a sweater of same design.
In the recent episode of “Golden Rainbow”, Uee was seen wearing a horizontal striped sweater which is the same design with Seohyun’s in Cosmopolitan magazine. Uee looks active and boyish with a simple blue shirt inside while Seohyun looks feminine with a plaid shirt and denim skirt.
This beautiful sweater is the new design of Tommy Hilfiger Denim with the price is about 146$.

UEE and Jung Il Woo filmed the kiss scene near a cafe in Bundang, Gyeonggido where Baek Won (UEE) and Do Young (Jung Il Woo) confirmed their feelings for each other. The two characters were in a misunderstanding because of Chun Won (Cha Ye Ryun) and kept bickering until Baek Won gave Do Young an ambush kiss. Do Young responded with an even stronger kiss back, making this episode one to tune in for.
Newsen recently revealed a few stills from the set of MBC’s “Golden Rainbow” on January 9.
The pictures show Jung Il Woo and Uee during a kissing scene that was filmed near a café in Kyung Gi Do.
The two stars are currently filming for “Golden Rainbow,” where Jung Il Woo plays the part of Seo Do Young and Uee plays the part of Kim Baek Won. Because Do Young and Baek Won are not aware of how much they like each other, they start to argue. Do Young says, “Why do you keep making me feel sorry,” before going in for the kiss.
UEE attended the press conference for MBC“s “Golden Rainbow” on January 17 and revealed her thoughts on winning a drama award for her role at MBC“s year-end drama awards.
UEE said, “Hearing that I was nominated, I did think it would be nice if I got an award, but I had no idea I would actually receive one. I was taken aback… I thought of that award as one for the “Golden Rainbow” team and child actors rather than one for myself. When I heard the news of winning, I felt so hurried while talking, but I think of myself as a representative and am really grateful.”
Returning to the top of the game again, SBS’ Running Man reclaimed its spot, coming out as the number one rated show on Sunday night.
In this particular episode of Running Man, the cast were carrying on the ‘Letter from Hong Kong’ special with guests ZE:A’s Im Si Wan, Tiny G’s Do Hee, and Yeo Jin Gu.
Choosing partners, Im Si Wan tested the cast members’ Gyeongsang-do accent, eventually picking Song Ji Hyo as his counterpart.

Jung Il Woo plays the sweet and overly suave prosecutor Seo Do Young in the drama, and UEE plays the always-optimistic Kim Baek Won. The pair had a lot of rough times before, but now they finally seem to be on a smooth road!

We knew it to be true, but it looks like even fortune tellers are saying the Monday Couple on SBS’ Running Man is a match made in heaven.
On February 2’s broadcast of Running Man, the cast and guests had their fortunes read for the new year and were later given the task to find the partner that fits them the most.
After several missions, the five couples managed to find their one true pairing, but the couple that stood out the most was Song Ji Hyo and Gary, who had continued their onscreen romance for a long time.
Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae Together Again After 8 Years in “Hotel King,” VIXX’s N and Jewelry’s Yewon Also Cast
Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae will be working together again for the first time in 8 years in the new MBC drama “Hotel King.” The last time they worked together was in the 2005 drama “My Girl.” This is also the first time back at MBC in awhile for both actors. For Lee Dong Wook, it’s his first drama with MBC since 2008, when he starred in “La Dolce Vita,” and for Lee Da Hae, it is her first comeback with MBC in three years, since 2011’s “Miss Ripley.”

Parodying the hit SBS drama, Yoo Jae Suk transformed into Chun Song Yi of You Who Came From the Stars on the most recent episode of Running Man.
Starting from “400 years ago” in the chosun era, the Running Man team searched for a young maiden. Once the maiden was found, time began to speed up, bringing the members into present times.
In order for the alien to return back to its planet, Chun Song Yi and Do Min Joon, who turned out to be HaHa, must meet and find the key to the spaceship before one member with the nail ring stops them.
Nicknamed the ‘army idiot,’ Super Junior-M’s Henry made a mistake…again.
On February 23’s broadcast of MBC’s Real Man, Henry and K.Will passed their training and joined the other cast members on base.
After a quick hidden camera, Henry was asked which higher officer was most handsome. Henry, being the honest person he is, chose one of the officers, saying he looks like a pineapple, suddenly making the atmosphere cold and uncomfortable.
A higher officer began to scold ZE:A’s Park Hyung Sik, who was in charge of taking care of Henry, as the episode ended with the drama still up in the air.
MBC’s upcoming drama Hotel King brought together the cast members for its script reading.
The PD and the cast members, including Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, 2AM’s Seulong and others got together for two rounds of script reading, which took place at MBC’s Dream Center in Ilsan and Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong in the middle of February.
Before the script reading took place, Kim Jin Min CP (chief producer) said, “We’re going to put our full trust in the staff and writer,” and Kim Dae Jin PD said, “I hope we can all enjoy our start. I’m going to do my best.”
KBS2TV’s latest weekend drama “Wonderful Days” has quickly proven to be a hit.
According to ratings agency Nielsen Korea, the second episode that aired on February 23 at 8pm recoded viewer ratings of 30.3% (Seoul area). This is a 6.5% rise from the first episode, which attracted 23.8% of the viewers.
“Wonderful Days” starring popular actress Kim Hee Sun is currently the leading weekend drama with a large margin, and is rapidly becoming one of 2014′s most viewed dramas, charming the viewers with its thrilling story and skillful acting.
