Hwayoung Joins Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won in Film “Today’s Love”

Hwayoung, former member of girl group T-ara, will finally have her debut as an actor.

Hwayoung has been recently cast in the movie “Today’s Love.” News of Hwayoung coming back as an actress comes exactly two years after she left T-ara in July of 2012.

The movie “Today’s Love” will realistically illustrate relationships between men and women, and Hwayoung will portray an elegant woman who fits the style of the movie. According to an insider, the shooting began on July 29, and Hwayoung will play an important character who contributes a lot to the plot of the film.

Hwayoung has previously appeared in a music video for ballad singer Zia in January earlier this year.

“Today’s Love” will be a melodrama, directed by director Park Jin Pyo, who directed movies like “His Voice” and “You Are My Destiny

The upcoming release “Sea Fog” has been selected as a Gala film at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 4 through September 14.

“Sea Fog” is based on the Korean play “Haemoo” and marks the directorial debut of Shim Sung Bo.

“Haemoo” was not entirely fictitious, as it was based on actual events in which a crew of fisherman aid in the smuggling of stowaways en route to South Korea. Poor weather befalls the ship, leading to the deaths of many of the stowaways.

A harrowing tale unravels throughout the film, with Korean water police hot on the tail of the smugglers, who were motivated by money to pursue illegal activity

Park Shi Hoo's Legal Problems May Continue Even As His New Film Opens

Park Shi Hoo"s legal problems continue even as the actor"s new film is set to open in China.

Earlier this month, a lawsuit filed against him by a Hallyu content company was dismissed. The lawsuit claimed he owed the company about $300,000 because a video he was due to appear in was cancelled. Park Shi Hoo"s lawyers claimed that he bore no responsibility for the project"s failure. The project was supposed to be filmed in Thailand but that opportunity ended. The project was then going to be filmed in Korea but the actor could no longer participate. Park Shi Hoo"s lawyers also contended that the actor never signed a contract and received no up front guarantee. Therefore he was not obligated to appear in the project.

The company said that they made a verbal agreement with the actor and that they had paid a guarantee

Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won have been cast as leads in the upcoming romance film "Today"s Love".



The two actors will be working together again after co-starring in the 2009 drama "Brilliant Legacy". "Today"s Love" is Moon Chae Won"s return to the big screen after "War of Arrows" in 2011 as well as Lee Seung Gi"s film debut. Lee Seung Gi will be playing the role of Junsu who is generally unsuccessful in relationships because he doesn"t know when to stop giving, while Moon Chae Won will play a weather woman who"s both sharp and aggressive.

He commented, "What drew me in is the everyday story, and I like this kind of genre. I"m also a fan of director Park Jin Pyo, so I"m happy for this opportunity to work with him. It"s my first movie role so I feel pressure, but I will approach it from a learner"s point of view

The new film “Today’s Love” has confirmed “Brilliant Legacy” co-stars Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won as the two leads, and will head into filming at the end of this month.

Lee Seung Gi, in his first movie role, plays Junsu, a character who fails at relationships, and always gets broken up with because he just gives too much. The behind the scene stills of the upcoming film, “Pirates,” have been revealed.

Many have high expectations for this film as it’s been rated for ages 12 and up and it’s a film that anyone can enjoy. As many are expecting this to be an enjoyable film, the behind the scene stills are enjoyable as well.

Despite of the hardships they encountered during the hot and cold weather, the smiles on the actors’ faces didn’t disappear. They filmed the movie 100 times within the span of six months and despite of the hardship, there’s a reason the actors were able to endure it. Most of the scenes were filmed on the ocean and Byeokran Island was the second most filmed location. C-Clown to Film in China for Variety Show “Han Wei Xing Dong Tai”

Idol group C-Clown will finally be able to meet their Chinese fans, taking their first step in advancing to China by filming for the variety show “Han Wei Xing Dong Tai“.

C-Clown’s agency explained that the group will be appearing in MC Play J’s Star Interview corner. The variety show previously had Baek Ji Young, Sistar, Infinite, G.Na and other hallyu stars appear on it as well. The agency further said that they will be taking this opportunity to advance into China and meet their fans.

Meanwhile, C-Clown is still currently promoting their title song “Let’s Love” from their their fourth mini album of the same title. The group is on the planning stages of going on a South American tour this coming August.

Dasom will be making her film debut in "Like a French Movie", which will be directed by Shin Yeon Shik. She"ll be featured as the lead character in two parts of the four-episode omnibus film. Starship Entertainment stated, "Dasom will lead in two of director Shin Yeon Shik"s omnibus film. In one part, she"ll be playing Ryu Deok Hwan"s lover, who is a cute woman working at a bar. In the second, she"ll be costarring alongside actor Jeong Man Shik."

The SISTAR member has been building her acting chops in TV series like "Shutup Family" and "Melody of Love", and this casting marks her growth into a big screen actress.

′Sea Fog′ Invited to the Toronto International Film Festival

Sea Fog will be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

According to the distribution company NEW on July 23, Sea Fog received an invitation to premiere at the Festival′s Gala Presentation.

It is the only Korean movie to be invited this year.

TIFF starts on September 4.

It is one of the top four film festivals in the world along with the Cannes, Venice and Berlin festivals.

The Good, the Bad, the Weird, The Housemaid and Cold Eyes have previously premiered at the Festival′s Gala.

TIFF′s art director Cameron Bailey commented that Sea Fog is a dramatic film that has an essential and emotional power to grab audiences, and that he is proud to be able to introduce Sea Fog to audiences at TIFF

Seven different posters showing the characters of the upcoming film, “Sea Fog,” has been released.

On July 21, the publisher of “Sea Fog,” NEW, revealed the character posters of Kim Yoon Seok, Park Yoochun, Lee Hee Joon, Moon Sung Geun, Kim Sang Ho, Yoo Seung Mok and Han Ye Ri.

In the character posters, it has each of the character’s distinct dialogue as well as their lively facial expression. On the boat vessel, Jeonjinho, each of the crew have their stories. Kim Yoon Seok plays the captain, Chul Joo, Moon Sung Geun plays Wan Ho, who is the chief engineer. f(x)'s Sulli ill with cold, unable to film for 'Music Bank'

SM Entertainment let fans know that Sulli was unable to film with f(x) for "Music Bank" due to a bad cold.

Countdown" where the group took the #1 trophy, and fans were worried after seeing Sulli was missing once again on the "Music Bank" stage. SM Entertainment stated on July 18, "Due to a cold and body aches, Sulli didn"t feel well and wasn"t able to participate in the "Music Bank" filming. It"s been decided that she will return to promote on shows only after she recovers."

Song Kang Ho and Yoo Ah In’s New Film “Sado” Holds First Shooting

Song Kang Ho and Yoo Ah In‘s new historical film “Sado” has officially gone into productions.

The first shooting of the film took place on July 8, and it consist of scenes with the young Prince Sado (played by Yoo Ah In) wowing the court, including his father King Yeongjo (Song Kang Ho) with his intelligence.

In the film, Song Kang Ho will portray King Yeongjo, a determined man who climbed his way up to become the King of the Joseon dynasty. Yoo Ah In will depict King Yeongjo’s son Crown Prince Sado, who was sentenced to death by starvation by his own father. The Prince ultimately died of suffocation after eight days of imprisonment in a big chest.
