“Hotel King” was only 1.8% shy of its own highest rating of 13.6%.
Meanwhile, other weekend drama ratings are as follows: first place KBS “Very Good Times” (25.6%), second place MBC “Jang Bo-ri Is Here!” (22.8%), SBS “Endless Love” (9.1%), and SBS “Good Day” (5.8%).

MBC’s upcoming drama Hotel King brought together the cast members for its script reading.
The PD and the cast members, including Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, 2AM’s Seulong and others got together for two rounds of script reading, which took place at MBC’s Dream Center in Ilsan and Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong in the middle of February.
Before the script reading took place, Kim Jin Min CP (chief producer) said, “We’re going to put our full trust in the staff and writer,” and Kim Dae Jin PD said, “I hope we can all enjoy our start. I’m going to do my best.”

According to viewer rating research company Nielsen Korea, MBC’s “Hotel King,” which stars Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook, recorded a 10.9% viewer rating on Sunday, which, although 0.8% lower than its 11.7% on Saturday, still held with solid double digits. On the other hand, SBS’s “Angel Eyes,” starring Gu Hye Sun and Lee Sang Yoon, recorded a low 6.6%, falling behind the MBC drama “Hotel King” which airs at the same time.

Kim Yewon recently made her small screen debut in MBC’s “Miss Korea,” which concluded earlier this February. She played Oh Ji Young’s (Lee Yeon Hee) colleague and had many opportunities to appear in front of the camera. However, the amount of her appearances drastically decreased midway of the drama and she dropped out before the drama ended.

SBS’ weekend drama “Angel Eyes” surpassed 10% viewer ratings for the first time since it aired.
According to Nielsen Korea, the April 26 broadcast of “Angel Eyes,” recorded a rating of 10.8%. The fifth episode displayed a 2.8% increase compared to last week’s episode of 8.0%. The premiere of “Angel Eyes” started off with a 6.6% viewer rating and has continued to climb with every episode.
Meanwhile, in the same time slot, MBC’s “Hotel King” recorded a rating of 8.2%. This shows a 2.4% drop from last week’s 11.6%, being overtaken by “Angel Eyes.”
Gong Hyun Joo has uploaded a photograph with fellow actress Lee Da Hae to her Weibo page. The picture shows the two stars in costume and hugging on the set of “Hotel King,” the drama in which they are both currently starring.
The hit drama began airing on MBC in early April this year and tells the tale of life at the fictional Hotel Ciel, Korea’s only seven-star hotel. Lee Da Hae plays the part of the heiress to the hotel, while Gong Hyun Joo plays a perfectionist supervisor who works at the prestigious establishment.
The tvN drama My Secret Hotel has finally started production.
The actors of My Secret Hotel gathered at the CJ E&M Center on July 18 to prepare for the drama in a script reading.
Yoo In Na, Jin Yi Han and the other leads and actors were present for the session.

MBC’s new weekend drama, “Mama,” is off to a good start as the first episode is first place in viewer ratings.
On August 3, the viewer rating research institute Nielsen Korea showed that the first episode of “Mama,” which aired on August 2, recorded a rating of 9.6% and placed first for its time slot.
The drama that aired before “Mama” was “Hotel King” and the last episode had a rating of 11.8%. Although the rating of “Mama” is 2.2% lower than “Hotel King,” it has a rating of around 10%, and many are anticipating this drama to gain a lot of popularity.
A unique teaser for tvN’s new mystery romance, “My Secret Hotel,” was released. Its different concept and performance of the actors makes for a memorable first impression.

According to FNV Entertainment, Lee Da-hae just made a deal with her current clothing brand Arnaldo Bassini, Chinese women”s clothing brand Shinipang, a couple Chinese cosmetic brands, a new Asian women”s product called Real O and more.
