Korean Drama The Heirs (Inheritors) Episode 20 Recap by joonni

Tan and Young Do stand apart, but together, looking out into the city. YD finally breaks the silence: “It’s cold.” He’s describing the weather, but it is also how he feels. Tan adds, “It’s cold…and dark.” Silence falls between them again as they each try to fight off the cold and dark feeling hovering over them because of their fathers.

At a cafe, Tan discusses his situation with a woman, who we learn is a lawyer. Tan doesn’t trust the lawyers at Jeguk anymore, and he wants this new lawyer’s help transferring legal proxy rights to Won from JS for his stocks.

When dramas go crazy: Aurora Princess, a case study

We’ve been following the ever-evolving story of Aurora Princess with raised eyebrows for months, as it has become a fixture in the headlines for its parade of shenanigans. And while it’s not the type of drama we’d typically be devoting a lot of attention to, it’s worth looking at if only as the cautionary tale of what not to do when making a show. If ever there were a case of a drama having more drama behind the cameras than in front of them, this would be it.

“Man from the Stars” Episode 1 Recap by drama beans

We begin in 1609, the first year of Gwanghae’s reign during the Joseon era. It’s on August 25 that a mysterious “round, shining flying object” was sighted and logged in the official records; it zoomed overhead with “a thunderous noise” before disappearing into sparks, leaving the skies clear and cloudless.

(This is a real part of historical record, and served as the basis for tvN’s sci-fi-mystery drama Joseon X-Files, which I recommend by the way.)

First Episode of “The Night Watchman” Tops TV Ratings

MBC’s new Monday and Tuesday drama “The Night Watchman,” starring Jung Il Woo, TVXQ’s Yunho, and others has gotten off to a good start in the television ratings, according to research company Nielsen Korea.

Nielsen released figures showing that the first episode of “The Night Watchman” was the highest rated television show airing at its time slot, scoring an audience of 10.9%. The drama replaces “Triangle” as MBC’s new 10pm drama, and has already outdone its predecessor’s debut show, which gained an 8.9% share of viewers. The average rating for “Triangle” (over its 26 episodes) was 8.0%.

Jung Il Woo signed on for “The Night Watchman”s Journal” shortly after finishing his leading role in the weekend drama “Golden Rainbow.” But he does not plan on taking a break now that he has wrapped up the ghostly historical drama.

“I don”t plan to take any breaks, and I can”t wait to make a final decision on my next work,” he told the Korea Joongang Daily. “I am grateful that I am able to act, and so ready.”

Recap for SBS Drama Pinocchio Episode 4

Okay, I seriously love this episode. I swear it’s not even because our hero finally gets a makeover (even though that’s worth a round of applause in and of itself—fare thee well, Mop of Shame!), but because the family stuff hits all the right chords. It’s an episode about fathers, and the kind of love that’s so steadfast that sometimes a reminder is a shock to the system—a poignant, tear-filled, affectionate shock.

We rewind a little to see that Dad finds the kids on the rooftop and hides out of sight, just in time to watch Dal-po try to stop In-ha’s day-long bout of hiccups, over having to lie that things went great with Mom and she’s totally fine giving up on journalism altogether. In-ha knows that Dal-po gave up college for her, and says she can’t live off of his taxi-driving income forever.

But Dal-po stops her from burning all her books by declaring that he needs them now, because he’s going to become a reporter too. Just like that, her hiccups stop, and fireworks explode in the distance.

Yi-seok’s parents are having a terrible fight (Mom is apparently being accused of cheating), and Dad chases Mom out to the shed in the field. She locks herself in while he pounds on the door, but she refuses to open up. He breaks a window with a rock and takes out his lighter, threatening to burn the shed down with her in it.

He flicks the lighter on and accidentally drops it through the window, setting the shed ablaze. Suddenly terrified, he breaks open the door with a shovel and drags his unconscious wife out, too scared to hear little Yi-seok yelling that his brother is also in there. Dad tries to go back in for Il-seok, but it’s too late, as the fire has completely consumed the shed.

K-Drama Feature: 10 Best Mystery / Suspense Dramas

As many of you who have read my reviews know, I”m a K-drama nut. “The Girl Who Can See Smells,” is among those I am a fan of, but, what about the other dramas in the same genre? Well, they”re long since finished, their entire runs archived on various drama sites so that we can watch them without having to wait a whole week between episodes. So I”ll stop rambling, and share a few of my favorites:

IRIS Two men, as close as brothers, are pitted against each other by their boss, the corrupt leader of a covert anti-terrorist organization. High-octane and expensive, this is practically an action movie made for the small screen in episodic format. Top notch performances (like assassins Kim So Yeon and Big Bang”s T.O.P), breathtaking action sequences, and heartrending scenes put this show on my list.

'Ex-Girlffriend Club' Has Been Reduced From 16 To 12 Episodes

On June 2, Star News published an article which announced the early conclusion of tvN”s weekend series, “Ex-Girlfriend Club.” The drama, which stars Song Ji Hyo and Byun Yo Han, will be reduced from 16 episodes to 12 episodes.

“To improve the completeness of the show, it will end with episode 12,” said a representative for tvN.

“Ex-Girlfriend Club” struggled with ratings. Song is a popular star of “Running Man” but her inclusion in “Ex-Girlfriend Club” did little to boost ratings. The show premiered on May 8, but viewership for the Friday-Saturday program continued to drop. According to reports from Nielsen Korea (AGB Nielsen), “Ex-Girlfriend Club” recorded 1.16 percent. The ratings continued to fluctuate, with episode 7 recording 0.64 percent.

According to Nielsen Korea, the finale recorded 0.78 percent of cable subscribers. “Ex-Girlfriend Club” may have yielded low ratings, but the drama featured strong chemistry between its leading stars, Song Ji Hyo and Byun Yo Han.

Actors always seem to have a fellow celebrity they”d like to work with, and Park Bo Young shared that she”d like to act alongside Yeo Jin Goo.

On the July 15th episode of Arirang TV“s “Showbiz Korea“, Park Bo Young sat down for an interview at the “Blue Dragon Film Awards“. The actress said smiling, “There”s only 1 year left. I want to wait a bit and act with him.”
