I did it again, I put myself on a ship that will never set sail. It's a sad day when I love David to bits, but know he will always be friend zoned by Bo Tong. I hope he gets a happy ending, someone this sweet needs someone who will truly like him and all his quirkiness. I also have to say how gorgeous Han Chae Young is in this drama.
Episode 5 Recap by k-dramacentral: Ma Te and Yu Ra are inside drinking coffee and he wonders who made her cry. She asks him how it was spending all that time without his father. She tells him that Hong Ran is planning on sending her 6 year old daughter abroad to study. He just says Hong Ran is scary while Yu Ra apologizes for making him worry, but she had no where else to go. Ma Te tells her that he'll find both of their places soon and gets up to give her more coffee
After an influx of marriage/affair/divorce dramas this year, my expectation level for SBS newest Mondays & Tuesdays drama One Warm Word (Kind Words) was extremely low. Moreover, the writer’s previous drama Can We Get Married was pretty hard to digest (for me) that I stopped watching on episode 7, it was too realistic for my liking. So I embraced the first episode of One Warm Word with extreme caution (ha!). Surprisingly, the first episode surpassed my expectations – it quickly introduced the main characters and their different perspectives (& approaches) towards marriage, divorce and affairs
Crossover episode! Our timeline reaches 1997, which means that the Answer Me 1997 and Answer Me 1994 worlds collide for some meta fun. It’s also Binggeure’s episode to shine, and we get a really welcome glimpse into what life was like for him while we were busy paying attention to everyone else.
EPISODE 16: “Love, Fear: Answer Me 1997″
Dinner arrives at Housewarming Party 2013, and everyone gags at Samcheonpo and Yoon-jin’s show of aegyo spoon-feeding. Haitai wonders how they can still be so cutesy after four kids, while they just challenge him to try it with his wife. He and Na-jung turn to look at each other and shake their heads
With all the husband hullaballoo, sometimes the secondary characters feel a bit too secondary, but then they’ll step to the fore with something really sweet. It’s easy to get caught up in the Oppa-Chilbongie wars (omg you guys are killing me with them), but this drama has a lot more to offer than fanwars and shipping, which is actually why I think it’s doing itself a disservice to be so coy with the “Who is he?” gimmick. Because when the show is all about the small, revealing character moments, it’s totally got my heart.
EPISODE 15: “The people who changed me, Part 2″
It’s January 1996, and Na-jung is caught in a fierce tug-of-war with Garbage in the front yard… because she’s trying to sneak him into her room at night and he’s resisting
It’s the height of happiness and the depths of heartache, as one suitor takes a step closer, which invariably means the other gets left behind. The fallout turns out to be harder for my heart to handle than expected, especially when impending separation turns a simple goodbye into one that might be forever. Say it ain’t so!
EPISODE 14: “The people who changed me, Part 1″
2013. The houseguests start getting hungry, and the boys prod Binggeure to pay for some food (I’m taking that as a good sign that he’s successful). He pretends not to know what they’re talking about, so they call out Chilbongie next, who defers to Garbage because he’s eldest
With hit drama The Heirs and kickass film Friend 2 keeping him busy, Kim Woo Bin is hot stuff these days, but what are people most interested in about the star?
We did a simple search on Korea’s portal sites to see what keywords come up in relation to Kim Woo Bin, and below are our finds.
That’s the first word that pops up next to Kim Woo Bin’s name, and we’re not talking cars. It’s the Konglish term for the lined bomber jacket, one of the many clothing items seen on Kim Woo Bin’s character Young Do on The Heirs.
In addition to “mustang,” “fashion,” “shoes” and “coat” are among the most searched words related to Kim Woo Bin. It makes sense that the star, who got his start as a model, is a fast rising style icon, and many of the keywords related to Kim Woo Bin have to do with his wardrobe choices
Answer Me 1994 Recap - Episodes 9 to 13 - by Couch-Kimchi:
Honestly I’m really having a lot of trouble writing the episodes at hand. My emotion is taking over me again. Now, I’ll put motion first and just write.
It seemed that 1994 is a very long year, especially for our boys. A lot of lingering thoughts abound. Two hearts are in the frying pan. Or shall I say, I’m swimming in a very dangerous water once again. I don’t know if ever I will survive this. Then again in this kind of situation, I believe its all about the journey. Loving someone badly, the way I do with Chil Bong, is not something to regret. So let me share my heart with you instead. A heart that is open enough to just love, no matter the end game.
I’m continually amazed at the story progression and the pace of this drama – things move quickly. That suits me just fine – I hate repetition, flashbacks upon flashbacks, long silent staring and no character development. Having said that, I don’t expect much just yet – it’s still very early. In episode 7, our creepy brother Ki-Se “smells” that Ki is a woman and rips open her shirtt. He orders her dressed and brought to his tent, while Byung-Soo stares at Ki like he can’t believe it. Two of the Goryeo slaves are brought in to dress her up and apply make-up. She’s brought to Ki-Se’s quarters and he’s momentarily speechless at her beauty. She’s forced to her knees, her hands tied.
Ki immediately scouts the room, finding the location of the cross-bows
Empress Ki/Hwatu/기황후 started last week after MBC’s previous sageuk drama (and sadly snooze-fest) “Goddess of Fire Jung Yi”. I consider this a one-off recap for now since Empress Ki will be 50 episodes long and I don’t know if I can hold out that long… Sageuks in general tend to lose me after the first 16 episodes
“Medical Top Team” Episode 1 Recap by Couch-Kimchi:
I haven’t seen much posted about MBC’s Wed/Thurs drama “Medical Top Team” (which is up against “Secret” and “Heirs”) so I decided to check it out for myself. I was excited Joo Ji Hoon is back in dramaland but I hate his hair in this one. Whoever the stylist is for Ji Hoon (and Woo Bin in “Heirs”) that believes helmet-hair is a good look should be immediately fired – both guys look horrible. But that’s totally off topic and my own personal opinion. Medical Top Team turned out to be intriguing enough that I find myself looking forward to the next episodes.
It opens on a swanky party given by hospital board members to introduce the new Assistant Director: Shin Hye Soo (Kim Young-Ae) and to outline her idea of putting together a “Top Medical Team” of doctors within Kwanghye University Hospital
Answer Me 1994: Episode 14 by Drama Beans: “The people who changed me, Part 1″
2013. The houseguests start getting hungry, and the boys prod Binggeure to pay for some food (I’m taking that as a good sign that he’s successful). He pretends not to know what they’re talking about, so they call out Chilbongie next, who defers to Garbage because he’s eldest. Heh.
So Garbage gets up to get his wallet (interesting), and then Na-jung hands the folder of takeout menus to Chilbongie, who calls to make the order (iiiinnnnnteresting). Garbage tells him to add some soju to the order, only to have Na-jung scream at him for drinking too much.
Back in the summer of 1995, we rewind to Oppa swooping in for The Kiss. Pssh, as if we didn’t all re-watch that a thousand times last week
Mi Rae’s Choice: Episode 16 Recap We’ve travelled all the way with our characters to the end of the line, but whether the journey is ultimately rewarding or even satisfying for characters and viewers alike… is up in the air.The final episode brings us back full circle as we once again consider the role of human choice in fate’s dictates. The running theme of “hope” also continues to drive Mi Rae’s motivations in her fight for her career and her dreams, but I find myself left with more questions and loose ends than answers, coupled with the unsettling feeling that hope is more often empty than it is fulfilled. EPISODE 16 (FINAL) RECAPEveryone waits with baited breath as Shin pauses for a seeming eternity over his prompts: Will he defy his superiors by reporting on the deadly humidifier sterilizing agent or will he remain quiet and choose self-preservation?Gathering himself, Shin finally begins to report… and it is not on the humidifier story, but on a more mundane matter

Tan struggles to get up, but he can’t.Won notifies his dad of Yoon’s new position. Dad scoffs that Yoon is only capable of reaching that high. The next track has a stronger sound with faster beats and we can hear some rapping in it as well as the word “gentleman” in the lyrics

Ever since its release, “Missing You” has been sweeping across the charts and earned praise from fans and support from fellow artists like Lee Hyori. Se Joo walks into the meeting room, introduces himself as Miranda’s grandson who inherits her blood and money but there is one thing that cannot be inherited and that is a challenging mind. He delivers an ambitious speech of his plans for making YBS into a media station that keeps challenging itself and into a media conglomerate that is recognized worldwide.
Mi Rae tries to get a grip of herself in the ladies after getting officially rejected by Shin, Writer Bae walks in and queries her regarding her Christmas date. Meanwhile, PD Lee wakes up from his little drooling nap (yes, there is drool on the desk) and sees Se Joo looking down on him, frowning. LOL. PD Lee obviously has no idea and continues to mock Se Joo but changes tone straight away and shuns Se Joo aside when the vice director enters the office

The Heirs episode 13 and 14 left Frau, BBSwooner, The Crazy Ahjumma and I with many feelings that can not be expressed in just a few words. We decided to create this post with all our favourite scenes from the two daebak episodes. We will rant, swoon and die as we discuss each scene and why we love it so much. Come and swoon/rant/die with us!!!!
“The Emotional Hug”
Ducky: My first favourite scene is the emotional hug that we waited one whole week for! Why was it such a great scene and delivered so much emotions?
Frau: Yes, I love it! It was full of warmth and comfort as well as reassuring. It also signifies ES accepting Tan not only taking his hand but him as a whole
Shin is both surprised and slightly annoyed to find himself ambushed by Oppa with Ajumma in tow. What is this, a joke? Oppa pays him no heed; he merely instructs Ajumma to tell Shin “everything.” Crushing the DNA results in one hand and reining in his temper with a violent effort, Oppa hurls the papers at Shin and slams his way out without another word.
Shin is naturally irritated, but anger is quickly replaced by mute astonishment when he reads the DNA results. Ajumma quietly confirms her identity: “I… am Na Mi Rae from the future. In 2014… so, 24 years ago… I married you, Kim Shin.”
Se Joo interrupts the companionable silence with the admission that he’d overheard Mi Rae’s confession at the park regarding her feelings for Shin
