Even after Shinichi receives one of Baek-san’s finishing moves, he continues to fight until a group of Kaya’s henchmen come to fetch him on her orders. Shinichi refuses at first, wanting to finish the fight, but acquiesces immediately when the henchmen show him a mysterious black bag.
Baek-san acts all friendly to Jung-tae after the fight, though Jung-tae’s not too keen on returning the kindness. He promises to repay the debt he owes Baek-san (for saving him from Shinichi), but there’s something darker in that promise—he’s talking revenge.
But Baek-san, none the wiser, tells him that he owes him nothing: “Hwangbang will always protect you.” Oh, you mean when Hwangbang isn’t trying to kill him?
Kaya gets another chance to ask Leader Seol who killed her mother, but instead of answering her directly he tells her about her mother; the way she lived and the way she was loved at Club Shanghai, even though she was the highest female on the yakuza food chain
In the woods, a SWAT team sweeps the area with dogs as a man flees for cover.
Inside the presidential villa, Security Team Leader Ham sits with his shirt off after bandaging a wound in his arm. He growls that the suspect in the assassination attempt against the president has been spotted: “It’s Secret Service agent Han Tae-kyung.”
And back in the woods, we see that it’s Tae-kyung who’s being chased by the army of agents. Crud.
90 minutes earlier. March 5. 8:00 PM.
We go back to the moment of the blackout, this time from the Secret Service agents’ perspective from inside the villa. They scramble to get communications back up to check on the president’s status when the shots ring out: one, two, three

On the bus, Chun-soo is dead asleep as Jin-hee positions his head back on her shoulder. Chang-min pulls up next to the bus in his car at a stoplight, but neither Chang-min nor Jin-hee see each other. The bus jerks Chun-soo awake and Jin-hee feigns sleep. He nudges her awake, with an “Asleep already?” and she makes a big show of yawning and stretching. As the two order breakfast, Chun-soo tells Jin-hee that she should go do medical volunteer work on an island somewhere. “I think that’s the best fit for you,” he says. Jin-hee replies, “I’d like that. But I’d like to finish my internship first.” She hesitates for a moment before asking, “What’s going to happen to me now?” Chun-soo’s answer is noncommittal, and not particularly comforting: “That depends on your fate.”When the restaurant ajumma mistakenly assumes that Jin-hee is Chun-soo’s “pretty wife,” both Jin-hee and Chun-soo share an awkward moment

As Ta-hwan was holding the unconscious Seung-nyang in his arms, Tanashiri got to know that he went to the library. She wanted to prevent Seung-nyang from leaving the place with him and went there. Seung-nyang woke up and realized that she had lost consciousness for a while. Ta-hwan tried to persuade her into getting out of the library, but she refused to do so and continued to do the copying. He wanted to know what he could do for him, but Seung-nyang made him realize that he could do nothing, even protecting her from the people against her. Seung-nyang was ordered to drink the tonic but Empress Dowager dropped by, ordering her not to do so since the tonic contained infertility medicine. Tanashiri said that she did it for the sake of the Imperial family (yeah, RIGHT) and Seung-nyang suddenly took the bowl. Instead of drinking it, she poured it onto the floor. Muahahahaha…what a rebel! Seung-nyang told Tanashiri that if she took it, then she won’t be able to conceive in the future. The Dowager was satisfied with the outcome.
The other concubines were angry that they were tricked into drinking the tonic and Seung-nyang was the only one who was able to escape
“Man from the Stars” Episode 1 Recap by drama beansWe begin in 1609, the first year of Gwanghae’s reign during the Joseon era. It’s on August 25 that a mysterious “round, shining flying object” was sighted and logged in the official records; it zoomed overhead with “a thunderous noise” before disappearing into sparks, leaving the skies clear and cloudless.(This is a real part of historical record, and served as the basis for tvN’s sci-fi-mystery drama Joseon X-Files, which I recommend by the way.)A procession makes its way along a mountain road, carrying a young girl who was widowed just as soon as she was married. Suddenly, the UFO appears directly above them, kicking up such a fierce wind that the travelers go flying. The young widow is buffeted about in her sedan chair, which eventually gets caught up in the tornado and skids along the ground, teetering at the edge of a cliff
This show didn’t just end on a high note – it screamed it out. Good luck finding another rom-com this good anytime soon. I love that all the necessary loose ends were tied up. There wasn’t a clear cut exposition of every minor detail, but it grazed the truth enough to give us satisfactory justifications. Every kdrama fan knows that happy endings come in all shapes and sizes. Some you have to read into it and draw your own conclusions while others you really have to work hard to make sense of things, but Master’s Sun left nothing to chance. From what I could see, everything that needed to be crossed and dotted was done. If anything – this finale will just leave you wanting more.

Empress Ki/Hwatu/기황후 started last week after MBC’s previous sageuk drama (and sadly snooze-fest) “Goddess of Fire Jung Yi”. I consider this a one-off recap for now since Empress Ki will be 50 episodes long and I don’t know if I can hold out that long… Sageuks in general tend to lose me after the first 16 episodes
I am not sure what to say about this week’s episodes. It was just one big emotional blur with the occasional comical scene thrown in there. Things have come full circle and though I wanted to throw something at my computer screen, I am glad I didn’t. Fictional characters aren’t worth it, I am trying to convince myself this.
Young Do and Tan’s History Comes Full Circle
What do I mean by this? We know why Tan and Young Do’s friendship fell apart and we found out the moment that they both regretted was when it was Young Do’s last moment to see his mother. Tan regretted not trying hard enough to get Young Do and Young Do regretted worrying more about beating Tan than seeing his mom for the last time. When it was time for Young Do to find Tan, he does everything he can to make sure something like this won’t happen again by making sure Ki Ae was safe then finding Tan and giving them his car
The Heirs Episode 19 Synopsis and preview YD yells at Tan, “If you miss her, then go see her.” Tan replies he isn’t going anymore. “You can have her.” YD grabs Tan by the collar and pulls him up. He demands, “What did you say? Do you want to die? Do you have the right to break down?” Tan says, ”No, he doesn’t.” Looking at Young Do tearfully, Tan says, “I can’t do it, Young do.” Angry, YD throws Tan down and walks away. Tan struggles to get up, but he can’t.Won notifies his dad of Yoon’s new position. Dad scoffs that Yoon is only capable of reaching that high. Won and Dad go back and forth through the story of Guan Yu from the Three Kingdoms. Dad tells Won he can go now, but Won says he didn’t come to see dad
