On the September 14 broadcast of KBS’ “Superman Returns,” actor Song Il Gook’s triplets Dae Han, Min Gook, and Man Se, as well as Lee Hwi Jae’s twins Seo Un and Seo Jun, were caught fighting over a toy car.
The war over the toy car began while Min Gook was playing inside the car, when Seo Un went over to play with it as well. When Min Gook didn’t budge, Seo Un resorted to pulling Min Gook’s ear. However, Min Gook kept calm and continued to ride the toy car.
Then, Dae Han opened up the car door so he could play with it, and Min Gook willingly let him in. The battle moved forward with Dae Han and Seo Un, with Seo Un losing out once again. Not long after, Seo Jun set his sights on the same toy car and set out to take it from Dae Han, along with his twin brother, resulting in Dae Han finally giving up the toy car
KBS 2TV’s variety program “Superman Returns” has proven its popularity by maintaining its spot at number one in viewer ratings for the same time slot for 11 consecutive weeks.
According to Nielsen Korea on September 8, the most recent broadcast of “Superman Returns” on September 7 recorded a nationwide viewer rating of 12.4%, taking charge of the top spot during its time slot. With this latest viewer rating record, the program has been in first place for a total of 11 weeks running.
The September 7 episode aired its one year anniversary special, during which all of the families gathered together in one place. Viewers were touched by how much each family has grown and developed since appearing on “Superman Returns,” especially the relationships between the dads and their children

On the September 7 broadcast of the show, all of the families gathered to the KBS studio for the show’s first anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the families shared their thoughts on the journey so far.
In particular, Tablo, Kang Hye Jung and Haru surprised everyone by preparing tasty rice cakes for the fellow cast members and the audience.

Comedian Lee Hwi Jae’s twin sons made an adorable mess as the attempted to feed themselves.
On the August 31 episode of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday—Superman Returns,” viewers watched twins Lee Seo Eon and Lee Seo Jun enjoy their first “solo” meal without their father’s help.
As the siblings drank soup and ate spaghetti with their fingers, Lee Seo Eon and Lee Seo Jun appeared to have suddenly matured. Watching them, Lee Hwi Jae said, “There’s nothing left for me to do. They’re all grown up.” It is still too difficult for them to use a fork, so they used their hands, but the twins finished eating to the best of their ability.
Lee Hwi Jae was proud and satisfied but Lee Seo Jun’s tomato sauce and spaghetti-drenched face was a source of amusement
With popular celebrity parents actress Kang Hye Jung and musician Tablo, everybody is pretty much expecting “Hip-hop Prodigy” Haru to follow the footsteps of her parents. However, Kang Hye Jung revealed that she wishes a different path for her four-year-old daughter.
On the August 31 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Superman Returns,” the family of Tablo, Kang Hye Jung, and Haru were shown as they were traveling to Kangneung.
While enroute to Kangneung, Haru passed some time rapping to a beat. The young girl showed some skills as she took after her father Tablo who is one of the most intelligent rappers in the Korean music industry.
While Haru’s parents showed appreciation and pride in her natural talent, both Kang Hye Jung and Tablo weren’t able to hide their concern
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Tablo’s daughter Haru showed of her freestyle rap skills on variety show, “The Return of Superman”.
On the August 24 episode of KBS 2TV’s “The Return of Superman,” Haru showcased her rap skills. EPIK HIGH’s Tablo and his daughter Haru were on the way to an outing when Haru suddenly looks at the camera in the car with a serious face and starts rapping. Tablo, surprised, asks Haru if she is rapping and she asks her dad to join in. He then looks at the camera like his daughter did and raps in a monotone voice.
Haru then continues to show off her rap skills by reading a book about sea creatures and rapping along. Tablo listened intently to his daughter’s outrageous rap and exclaimed, “Wow, the reading really sounds like a rap!”

Song Il Gook’s triplets–Dae Han, Min Gook, and Man Se–are growing up so fast!
On the August 24 episode of KBS 2TV’s “Superman Returns,” the three adorable boys of actor Song Il Gook learned how to pedal their own bicycles through the help of older neighborhood kids.
On this episode of “Superman Returns,” Song Il Gook brought his three little boys to the nearby neighborhood park to teach them how to ride a bicycle. It was challenging for Song Il Gook as he had to teach each of the boys how to pedal while also looking after each of them but some helpful neighborhood kids got to make his job easier.
While some older kids pedaled around them, Song Il Gook showed the boys how to pedal. However, it was still quite hard for the little boys to do it by themselves, so the older kids tried to help and taught the younger boys Dae Han and Min Gook how to pedal
Haru made her father Tablo proud in the recent episode of “Superman Returns” by showing him her rapping skills of win.
On the August 24 episode of KBS 2TV‘s “Superman Returns,” Tablo and Haru were shown inside the car while on their way to the countryside for a trip.
While passing time as they make their way to their destination, Haru unexpectedly surprised Tablo by showing him her rapping skills as she looked into the camera and started saying some lines with a beat. “Are you rapping?,” asked Tablo. Haru then said, “You can do it too, Dad,” then Tablo joined in.
Then, Haru continued rapping out some more lines and made her dad proud. “Your rap is perfect,” said Tablo as he lifted his hand to give Haru a fist bump
After much conflict in order to get best ratings for their competitive Sunday variety programs, the three major broadcasting networks SBS, KBS, and MBC have finally settled on a same time slot for their programs.
Previously, the three broadcasting networks were in conflict due to their start times, as they tried to win over others by starting few minutes earlier than the usual 4pm time slot.
However, they have all reached an agreement, as all three networks released a statement on August 18: “The three networks have felt the need to consolidate the starting time of the Sunday variety programs. Starting August 24, we have decided to air our variety shows at 4:50pm.”
KBS’ Sunday variety consists of “Superman Returns” and “1 Night 2 Days“, while MBC’s is comprised of “Dad, Where Are You Going?” and “Real Men
Viewers are already starting to show interest in the special meeting between Lee Hwi Jae’s twin sons and former soccer player Park Ji Sung.
The upcoming August 17 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s variety show “Superman Returns” will be airing the behind-the-scenes story of the twin boys’ encounter with the famous soccer star, when Lee Hwi Jae took Seo Un and Seo Jun to the “K-League All Star Game” on July 25.
On this day, Seo Un and Seo Jun, all dressed up in their own soccer uniforms, found their way to watch the soccer match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The twins’ dad, Lee Hwi Jae, stopped Park Ji Sung as soon as he spotted the soccer player greet him as he was passing by in the waiting room, and asked him to hold his sons
On the August 10 episode of KBS 2TV’s “Superman Returns,” actor Song Il Gook reminisced about the difficulties that his three sons experienced when they were babies.
While lying down on their backs, the father and sons were looking at photos of the young boys that were projected on the ceiling. Looking at each photo, the Song Il Gook and the boys had some fun distinguishing who’s who in the picture.
While looking at photos of Man Se, Song Il Gook asked his youngest child who was born a with a very low birth weight, “Man Se, did you know how worried we were when you were born?” While the father was absorbed in reminiscing about the time when his precious little boys were born, the kids got a little bored and showed dissatisfaction at their father’s story-telling time
On the August 10 episode of KBS’ “Superman Returns,” the actor visited the home of MMA fighter Chu Sung Hoon and Chu Sarang in Tokyo.
As a big fan of the adorable Chu Sarang, the “Asia’s Prince” wanted to make a good first impression and came bearing gifts for the little girl.
Chu Sung Hoon got so excited seeing the gifts that Jang Geun Suk brought for his daughter including a special candy basket full of lollipops with cute little cutouts of Sarang’s face and a card with his signature and message on it, showing how much he has prepared to meet the adorable girl.
“I really prepared a lot to win Sarang’s affection,” said Jang Geun Suk while holding a Mini Mouse tumbler that he specially chose
Tablo and Kang Hye Jung’s light-hearted attempt at stirring up jealousy in their daughter Haru, ended up getting a bit out of hand on the most recent episode of KBS 2TV’s variety program “Superman Returns.”
On the August 10 broadcast of “Superman Returns,” Tablo and Haru set out to visit mom, actress Kang Hye Jung, at the filming location for her latest movie, which she is currently in the middle of shooting. At the movie set, surrounded by new and unfamiliar sights, Haru discovered something particularly unfamiliar—a nine-year-old child actress named Lee Re, who is also starring in the movie with Kang Hye Jung.
During the visit to her mom’s work, Haru was unable to take her eyes off of the child actress, who could be seen talking affectionately with Kang Hye Jung
It looks like the network wars for the 4 p.m. Sunday variety program time slot won’t be ending yet.
After citing KBS‘ irregular scheduling as the reason for the “disruption” in the schedules of SBS variety shows “Roommate” and “Running Man” and MBC variety shows “Dad, Where Are We Going?” and “Real Men” last August 3, the national television network KBS cleared its side and gave their explanation countering the allegations of the other two networks.
“Actually, we weren’t the ones who started it,” said KBS who also felt that they were treated unfairly regarding the time slot war.
According to a rep from KBS Happy Sunday, “We’ll be putting each other on the mud but if we don’t air our side, the viewers will look at us as the cause of the problem
Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk will be paying a visit to Chu Sarang and her father Chu Sung Hoon‘s home in Tokyo!
A glimpse of the actor’s special appearance was given on the teaser for next week’s episode, revealed on the August 3 broadcast of KBS2TV’s “Superman Returns.”
In the teaser, Jang Geun Suk enters the Chu residence and tries his best to steal Chu Sarang’s heart. Known for being a big fan of the charming girl, the actor made sure to have a Micky Mouse stuffed toy with him, hoping to break the ice between them.
The Hallyu icon is the third celebrity to visit Chu Sarang, the two others being Rain and Girls’ Generation.

SBS moved its Sunday variety programs up to 4:00 PM because of KBS’s irregular scheduling.
On July 30, an SBS representative stated “The episodes of “Roommate” and “Running Man” will be moved up five minutes earlier to 4:00 PM on August 3. We’ll have to see if we can move them back, but this is because of KBS’s irregular scheduling. KBS needs to cooperate on the time slots to that the situation can quickly be normalized.”
Earlier, MBC moved up its variety shows “Dad, Where Are You Going?” and “Real Man” 10 minutes to start at 4 PM, but this week will air at 4:10 PM.

In the upcoming episode of “Superman Returns,” the twins will try their hand at climbing a play structure all on their own.
In the episode, the twins’ father Lee Hwi Jae took the twins to a theme park, where Seo Jun shows interest in a climbing play structure. As Lee Hwi Jae watches on dumbfounded, the twins manage to climb to the very top of the structure all on their own.
Seo Jun and Seo Un twins, who have been on the show since the beginning, have grown rapidly before the viewers’ eyes, as they recently started walking on their own
During a recent outing of Song Il Gook and his triplets Dae Han, Min Guk, and Man Se, Man Se expressed his pride over driving the car all by himself, causing their father to fall in confusion over the youngest’s strong self-esteem.
While filming an upcoming episode of KBS2TV’s “Superman Returns,” the three brothers locked their eyes on shiny and exciting electric cars that they saw on the street. As the triplets could not think of anything else but the cars, Song Il Gook gave in and negotiated a deal with the car owner.
Man Se, who had to sit with his dad, was particularly protective of his vehicle. With a bright expression on his face, the young boy drove the car while completely ignoring his father’s advice.
As Song Il Gook tried to reach for the steering wheel, Man Se pushed away his hands and continued to choose the direction
The variety programs of broadcast station KBS are undergoing changes. While its direction has not completely transformed, the channel is now catering to the viewers’ interests more than ever before.
The most visible example is “I Am a Man,” which is set to kick off on August 8. Being led by the “Nation’s MC” Yoo Jae Suk, the show’s pilot episode was a hit and recorded high ratings. Described as a talk show only for men, the show caught the public’s interest with its unique concept, leading to the extension of the program.
However, “I Am a Man” will soon begin to air on Friday evenings, while “Happy Together” also hosted by Yoo Jae Suk airs on Thursdays. This has caused many to wonder if KBS is showing signs of extensive reliance on Yoo Jae Suk
A child’s love for her father cannot be denied. Even though Lee Haru is still young, the four-year-old daughter of Epik High‘s Tablo has captured the hearts of many for her sincere and touching expression of love for her father.
During the filming of the upcoming episode of the KBS 2TV variety show “Superman Returns,” the father and daughter tandem went on a trip to Yangpyeong.
While on the train, the two engaged in a fun and imaginative conversation starting with Haru talking about them catching a catfish and either making spicy stew with it or taking care of it in their home.
While talking, Haru had a wild thought: “Shall we eat a dolphin?” Tablo gently answered his daughter, “Dolphins are our friends so let’s just catch a shark and eat it,” and started to make Haru laugh
