So many dramas seem to feature a scene in which the actors take a long leisurely stroll toward their goal, which is usually the woman they are about to confess their feelings to. It often looks as if the actors are strolling down the catwalk. But there"s a reason for that. So many k-drama actors started out as models and their long lanky good looks are part of the appeal.
A good example is the scene in "Personal Taste" where Lee Min Ho finally decides to tell Son Ye Jin that it"s "game over." He took so long to stroll over to her that viewers got a good look at every detail of the glossy suit he wore.
Models becoming actors is not a new trend. Song Seung Hoon, So Ji Sub, Cha Seung Won and Hyun Bin also started out as models. So did Jang Geun Suk, who began modeling as a child

On the average, a Korean drama would reach around 150 million views over its broadcast period, and with the rising numbers of the viewers of "My Lovely Girl" for its first episodes, it would be no surprise if the drama reaches this figure soon
Idol TV and Why You Need to Tune In Written by Nabeela On September 26, 2014
I’m not a big drama fan, and it’s hard for me to follow weekly variety. When it comes to commitment to entertainment in general, serials are a greased pig, and I am the sad, desperate little woman just trying to hold on.
But perhaps my one of favorite things to watch is idol TV. The beauty of idol TV is that its mostly non-committal, as in there’s no serious story line one has to follow, and it’s utterly brainless, meaning you can just watch and enjoy. No emotional investment into unrealistically good looking chefs, spies, bosses, no dramatic plot twists that have you rewriting plotlines into fan fiction gold, no idol whose acting is just about as entertaining as the DMV. Idol TV is an arena for candidness, inconsistency, and overall goofiness that opens up any viewer to a whole new and organic side to the idols you already hate to love and love to hate

Storywise, the elements are piling up to flesh out an interesting backstory. Hong-bin"s father may not have always been the monster he seems to be. His mother is a scarily stern woman who could be the mastermind behind the family, and Lee Mi-sook as Madam Yoon who runs Hong-bin"s household and has a connection to his father. It"s a broken fraternity that means little now save for the fact that there is tragedy in the family that has harmed Hong-bin and his teenaged brother Hong-joo.
Lee Dong-wook and Sin Se-kyeong are performing well. On occasion they overact and that pulls the scene out of the moment. For Lee it is when he gets angry and he grimaces. At first it fit perfectly with the caricature of a man he was, but as he is fleshed out as a character, it becomes too much. For Shin it is when she is trying to portray light-hearted happiness - it seems forced on occasion

Despite working in the entertainment industry like their characters in the drama "My Lovely Girl," singers Rain and f(x)"s Krystal are finding it difficult to portray the lives of their drama counterparts.
In the drama, Rain portrays the character Lee Hyun Wook, the CEO, producer, and composer of the fictional AnA Entertainment.
Similarly, he is heavily involved in the entertainment industry as a Hallyu artist, was the CEO and founder of the company J.Tune Entertainment, and acted as a producer and composer for the male idol group MBLAQ.
Krystal"s character Yoon Se Na is a young adult who dreams of becoming a singer and producer, and becomes a trainee at the entertainment company that Rain"s character heads.
Likewise, Krystal was a trainee in SM Entertainment, her management company, before she debuted as an idol singer in the girl group f(x)

The Korean remake of the Taiwanese drama "Fated To Love You" did well in Korea, earning Nielsen ratings that averaged 9.8 percent nationwide. And now the remake is also doing well in China.
Chinese audiences were so eager to see the remake that the broadcasting rights were sold for $120,000 an episode, making it the most expensive Korean drama sold in China at the time. And the drama"s first episodes got 200 million views on Sohu.com, the online TV station owned bySohu, a Chinese Internet company.

Series Overview: Fated to Love You is a Bundle of Laughter and Tears Written by Joyce On September 20, 2014
On the back of the finale of Fated to Love You, I’d like to say that the show will stay in my memory as the drama with the best character interpretations. It features the reunion of Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara, who starred together in Successful Story of a Bright Girl ten years ago. While Fated‘s plot is nothing out of the ordinary, the characters are really what steal the show and cement it as one of my favourite dramas ever.
If you’ve seen the Taiwanese version, you’d have a good sense of the plot – a one night stand, a pregnancy, a forced marriage, and then, a miscarriage. Cue angst with a capital ‘a’

It’s Okay, That’s Love, Episodes 5-8: Couples, Consent and Coitus Written by Alolika On September 19, 2014
“They did it! They did it! They did it!! Yeah!”
But I am not rejoicing because “it” – my juvenile euphemism for “sex” – was the most anticlimactic resolution to Hae-soo’s (Gong Hyo-jin) sexual anxiety (no pun intended). However, before I get down to the issues I have with the eighth episode in particular, let me broadly outline the problems the narrative is developing as the show continues (or considering my delay, the show has continued).
What felt like a strained connection between the two focuses of the drama – psychiatry and love – is now at one level, completely wrenched apart and at another level, intermingled with the purpose of sentimentalization
Although Girls" Generation"s Sooyoung and Kam Woo Sung have a love-hate relationship on screen, they looked like caring colleagues in a BTS photo from MBC
"s Wed-Thurs drama "My Spring Day"!
Sooyoung affectionally patted Kam Woo Sung"s head to practice their heartfelt scene in which Kang Dong Ha (Kam Woo Sung) confesses his gratitude towards Lee Bom Yi (Sooyoung) and Lee Bom Yi shows her growing feelings towards him by patting his head. Their chemistry was evident by the tender and sweet look in their eyes and made fans look forward to their budding romance.
Are you enjoying the drama so far?
On a recent episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” singer Lyn appeared as a guest and sang the popular soundtrack for “My Love from the Stars,” “My Destiny.” She revealed that the soundtrack is gaining as much popularity as the drama itself. She became the first Korean female ballad singer to debut in China. She also revealed that she received royalty treatment while she was there.
In other news, Lyn also sang her newest track, “Thank You My Dear,” which has been known to be a song for her husband-to-be Lee Soo. The track was made by Lyn two years ago, expressing her feelings towards her boyfriend. Two years later Lee Soo finally heard it, and it’s been reported that he showed tears while he listened to it
Krystal fell for Rain in the second episode.
On the second episode of the SBS drama "My Lovely Girl", Yoon Sena (Krystal) started to feel strange towards Lee Hyeon-wook (Rain).
Lee Hyeon-wook began to fully help Sena who was the sister of his past lover. He was hit by a car instead of Sena when she was being chased down by some men and he hired her as a pet sitter for 20,000 won an hour.
Because of his graciousness, Sena"s friend Yoon So-eun (Lee Si-ah) suspected that he liked her and Sena too began to misunderstand that he did.
Sena started to like Hyeon-wook and when they left on a trip to the sea together and were noticed as a couple; she was very happy. She has yet to find out that he was the boyfriend of her late sister
"My Lovable Girl," the new drama starring Rain and f(x)"s Krystal Jung started off in second place with viewer ratings of 8.2 percent. It followed "It"s Okay It"s Love" which recorded ratings of 12.9 percent for its final episode.
Also known as "My Lovely Girl," the drama began with a tragic car accident that demonstrated why each of the main characters is so scarred by past events. Rain plays producer and songwriter Lee Hyun Wook who spent the last few years hiding away after he lost his girlfriend in that accident. He meets Krystal"s character Yoon Se Na because his dog takes a liking to her. Also a songwriter, Yoon Se Na has run out of options in life and is pretending to be someone else. While trying to interest music producers in her songwriting talents, she has a run in with an arrogant star, played expertly by Infinite"s L
