If you were wondering where allkpop"s weekly coverage of "Show! Music Core" is, the music program along with a number of other shows have been canceled due to the "17th Asian Games Incheon 2014".

MBC announced that "Show! Music Core", "Infinity Challenge", and the drama "Jang Bo Ri is Here" were canceled on September 26. KBS also let viewers know that "Immortal Song 2" and the drama "What"s With this Family?" will be canceled as well because of the baseball games. Lastly, "Oh My Baby!" and "Star King" on SBS won"t be airing this week.

Son Seung Yeon took the #1 spot yet again on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".

For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, Son Seung Yeon covered Cho Yong Pil"s "Can"t Find the Oriole". The talented vocalist said, "I"ll make it fun," raising expectations as she"s known for her ballads. Her performance made it obvious why she"s been dubbed "the most beautiful monster rookie" on the competitive show, and she surprised the audience another time.

In the end, Son Seung Yeon took the final win with 431 points. Congratulations! 

Homme rock it out on "Immortal Song 2"

Homme shed their ballad image to rock the stage on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".

For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, Homme covered Kim Jong Chan"s "I Like Saturday Night". Changmin showed off his muscles, and Lee Hyun drenched himself with water for the show. Though they transformed into rockers, their trademark powerful voices still impressed the audience as always. 

In the end, Homme lost the #1 title to Son Seung Yeon by 5 points.

BTOB send a song to the ladies on "Immortal Song 2"

BTOB sang a song for the ladies on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".

For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, BTOB covered Fire Engine"s "Please Send This Message to Her". As a talented idol group, the boys received a lot of applause for their perfectly synchronized choreography and powerful vocals. 

However, BTOB weren"t able to win the crowd over Son Seung Yeon, who had performed just before them and eventually took the final win.

Ailee has joined the lineup for the Michael Bolton special of "Immortal Song 2"!

A rep from her agency revealed on September 19 that the singer went to filming for the show, which is expected to air on the 28th. Park Jung Hyun, Sohyang, Jay Park, Hyorin, Moon Myung Jin, and Seo Ji Ahn are also set to compete on the special for the American singer.

Internationally renowned pop star Michael Bolton will be having his own special on the singing program “Immortal Song.”

According to a broadcast insider at KBS, “Immortal Song” has planned a Michael Bolton special, and it will be filmed on September 28.

So far, according to reports, HyorinAilee, Jay Park, So Hyang, Park Jung Hyun, Moon Myung Jin, and Seo Ji Ahn have been confirmed for the special to cover the singer’s songs. One insider commented, “as Michael Bolton is a living legend in pop music, the singers were very competitive in picking their respective songs.”

Dia performed her cover of Jeon Won Seok"s "Don"t Leave" and couldn"t help but to spill tears after being immersed into the emotions of the song. Fly to the Sky showcased their perfect harmony on the September 13 edition of "Immortal Song 2"!

The duo crooned a passionate cover of Lee Jung Suk"s "Because I Love You" with their clear and husky voice combination. The string instruments also added a sweet touch to their stage which brought a standing ovation from the audience.

Despite their awesome performance, Fly to the Sky"s 392 points couldn"t beat the 415 points for Poppin" Hyun Joon and Park Ae Ri who took home the trophy for this episode.

BESTie"s U.JI put her sexy charisma on display on the September 6th episode of "Immortal Song 2".

For part 2 of the "Million Seller" episode, U.JI covered Kim Gun Mo"s "One Flew Over the Cuckoo"s Nest". U.JI said before her performance, "The first and second thing was to put on a sexy performance. I wanted to do a fun stage with a bit of sexy today." The BESTie member did just that, making the crowd jump with the upbeat track and her explosive vocals.

For part 2 of the "Million Seller" special of the show, the vocal duo covered Lee Moon Se"s "When I Stand Under the Shadow of a Roadside Tree". Their collaboration won over the audience, and the crowd couldn"t take their focus away from their performance, which was full of energy from beginning to end.

Rising ballad singer Son Seung Yeon covered one of the kings of ballads Shin Seung Hoon on the September 6th episode of "Immortal Song 2".

For part 2 of the "Million Seller" special, Son Seung Yeon covered Shin Seung Hoon"s "For a Long Time Afterwards" for the third performance of the episode. Her powerful, stable vocals made her competitors comment, "As expected of Son Seung Yeon," and she received a whole flood of compliments.

Gummy did her own rendition of Clon"s funky pop song from the "90s "Kung Ddari Sha Bah Rah" on the September 6th installment of "Immortal Song 2".

Though the singer is known for her slower songs, she did an upbeat acoustic cover of the original dance track for part 2 of the "Million Seller" special of the show with an appearance by Clon"s Goo Jun Yup. Gummy said before her performance, "Rather than losing or winning, I want to communicate with the audience today... This is a song that you all really like. I hope you enjoy it with me."

Seo In Young Dazzles with “Magic Castle” Cover on “Immortal Song”

Solo star Seo In Young recorded a massive score of 410 in a special edition of KBS2 show “Immortal Song” on August 30. The special edition of the show was celebrating songs taken from one-million-plus selling albums, and Seo In Young chose to cover The Classic‘s “Magic Castle,” originally a hit in 1994.

The former Jewelry member spent 10 million won (about US$9,850) on the performance, and completely reinvented the song as a jazzy number, which was also a visual feast. Indeed, her performance looked as though it might not have been out of place in a musical like “Chicago,” and featured tap dancing, cabaret-style dancing and music from a nine-member brass band.

The singer also brought in eight dancers, a percussionist and three backing singers, and also picked out her own costume and accessories
