On October 11th, KBS aired a “Best Duet” special episode of “Immortal Song 2” in which Yoon Minsoo and Shin Yongjae’s team beat Kim Bada and Seo Moontak’s 4-streak win.

During the show, artists Kim Bada and Seo Moontak, who were paired up as a team, performed first before all other paired partners and won the first half of the show (last week’s episode) with a total vote count of 407.

Kim Bada and Seo Moontak continued to win by maintaining their 407 votes, even though three other paired teams showed great performances following them

Vibe"s Yoon Min Soo and 4men"s Shin Yong Jae took the final win on the October 11 installment of "Immortal Song 2".



Yoon Min Soo and Shin Yong Jae teamed up for the duet special of the show, covering Lee So Ra"s "Please". Following the bittersweet tone of the original song, the two singers put on a touching performance. 

Their rendition won them the final trophy, defeating Seo Moon Tak and Kim Ba Da who had 4 straight wins. Congratulations to Shin Yong Jae and Yoon Min Soo!

The One and Son Seung Yeon got together to make a duo team on the October 11 installment of "Immortal Song 2".



For the duet special of the competitive show, The One and Son Seung Yeon covered Go Eun Hee and Lee Jung Ran"s "I Love You". The two talented vocalists put on a beautiful stage, singing the sweet lyrics with ease. The One said before their performance, "I don"t think we"ll lose because we have Son Seung Yeon."

On the October 4th episode of "Immortal Song," Korea’s feminine rocker Kim Kyungho won against Bada and Son Seungyeon.
Kim Kyungho is the 5th vocalist on that episode. He performed Cho Yongpil"s "Scarlet Skimmer." His performance gave the feeling of both loneliness and romance.

Son Seung Yeon sang for the fall special of "Immortal Song 2" on October 4.



The "monster rookie" covered Patti Kim"s "Love that Left Autumn". Son Seung Yeon said before her performance, "I cried a lot watching Patti Kim sing. She was cool on stage, and I really respect how she sang for so long before retiring. I want to walk the same path as she did."

American singer Michael Bolton expressed his heartfelt thoughts via SNS after finishing up the recording for KBS 2TV"s "Immortal Song."


He tweeted and posted on Facebook, "What an absolutely inspiring night of phenomenal singers in Korea on the TV show. ImmortalSongs? Kamsahamnida! Thank you for bringing my songs so beautifully to life!!" He also uploaded pictures.

If you were wondering where allkpop"s weekly coverage of "Show! Music Core" is, the music program along with a number of other shows have been canceled due to the "17th Asian Games Incheon 2014".



MBC announced that "Show! Music Core", "Infinity Challenge", and the drama "Jang Bo Ri is Here" were canceled on September 26. KBS also let viewers know that "Immortal Song 2" and the drama "What"s With this Family?" will be canceled as well because of the baseball games. Lastly, "Oh My Baby!" and "Star King" on SBS won"t be airing this week.

Son Seung Yeon took the #1 spot yet again on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".



For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, Son Seung Yeon covered Cho Yong Pil"s "Can"t Find the Oriole". The talented vocalist said, "I"ll make it fun," raising expectations as she"s known for her ballads. Her performance made it obvious why she"s been dubbed "the most beautiful monster rookie" on the competitive show, and she surprised the audience another time.

In the end, Son Seung Yeon took the final win with 431 points. Congratulations!

Homme shed their ballad image to rock the stage on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".



For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, Homme covered Kim Jong Chan"s "I Like Saturday Night". Changmin showed off his muscles, and Lee Hyun drenched himself with water for the show. Though they transformed into rockers, their trademark powerful voices still impressed the audience as always.

BTOB sang a song for the ladies on the September 20 installment of "Immortal Song 2".



For part 2 of the Lee Duk Hwa special, BTOB covered Fire Engine"s "Please Send This Message to Her". As a talented idol group, the boys received a lot of applause for their perfectly synchronized choreography and powerful vocals.
