Gukak (Korean traditional music) singer Song So Hee won first place on the July 26 installment of "Immortal Song 2"!



Song So Hee sang Cho Young Nam"s "Can"t Live Without Love" and impressed Cho Young Nam with her traditional take on the song. She moved the audience with the strength and emotion in her voice that made it hard to believe that she is only 17 years old (international age: 16). She beat Homme with 393 points and won the first place title.

Homme got the audience smiling from ear to ear with their cover of Cho Young Nam"s "Goodbye City" on "Immortal Song 2"!



The duo of Homme never fail to impress listeners with their smooth vocals and showcased their teamwork once again with their refreshing take on "Goodbye City". They even donned farmer hats to bring the lyrics of returning to one"s hometown to life. Son Seung Yeon (Sonnet Son) commented, "It was a really cool and refreshing stage."


They became the first place runner up with 366 points, but lost to gukak singer Song So Hee.

ALi moved the crowd on the Lee Ho Sub special of "Immortal Song 2" which aired on July 19.

The talented vocalist covered "Hate it, Hate it" originally sung by Hyun Chul. ALi explained that she wanted to prepare a different performance this time around and captured the audience with her dreamy cover.

Though her unique use of rain drop sounds and calm vocals managed to move Lee Ho Sub and the crowd to tears, it was married couple Poppin" Hyun Joon and Baek Ae Ri who took the final trophy.

The rookie singer has been making a name for herself, and her cover of Lee Yong"s "Wind Come Over" won the audience over. She said before getting on stage, "I prepared an ad-lib for the end part of the song, and I think that part will be important for how much I communicate with the crowd."

On the June 28th installment of "Immortal Song 2", 2AM"s Changmin surprised everyone with the sexy twist he put on the classic "Busan Station"s Parting" by composer Park Shi Choon.

Changmin said, "I didn"t change much of the original song, but I wanted to put a lot of my individuality into it." The 2AM member did just that by preserving the feel of the classic hit and adding his own vocal style.

Dancers also joined Changmin on stage, and the modern transformation won the audience over. However, it was Gummy who took the final trophy.

On the June 28 episode, the girl group took on the 1940s" hit by composer Park Shi Choon "Bright 18 Years", turning it into an upbeat, swing melody. Before getting on stage, Sunny Hill said, "It"s an honor to perform for the first time in over a year on "Immortal Song". Though "Bright 18 Years" is a recognizable song, we changed it into our own unique style."

Though Sunny Hill put on an upbeat, enjoyable performance, Gummy took the final win this episode.

On the 7th"s episode, BESTie"s U.JI put on an amazing Latin number, awing the audience and stealing the hearts of all the other contestants. They were all amazed by U.JI"s incredible performance, and Hyunseung commented, "U.JI is a singer that has everything. She"s got talents in singing and dancing, and she also looks good. Her outfit today is also perfect."
