In just three days after its release, ‘The Suspect’ reached the 1 million mark and in eight days after release, the film brought in 2 million viewers.
This 3 million viewer record was reached faster than Won Bin‘s “The Man From Nowhere,” which hit the 3 million mark in 17 days. Furthermore, “The Suspect” is ranking high in the box office, winning over strong Hollywood contenders such as “About Time” and “Ender’s Game.”

Appearing as a guest on January 7’s broadcast of SBS Power FM’s Cinetown, Im Si Wan thanked Song Kang Ho, who acted with him in the movie The Attorney.
“If I were to compare my acting to math, it’s at the level of addition and subtraction,” said Im Si Wan. “Whereas Song Kang Ho’s acting is comparable to calculus. I know I’m nowhere near his level of acting.”

A rep from Jo In Sung”s agency IOK Company told OSEN on January 9, “[Jo In Sung] received the casting offer for “It”s Okay, That”s Love” and is positively reviewing it,” and Gong Hyo Jin”s agency SOOP Entertainment revealed that she was doing the same.
Over 200 idol stars will be participating in MBC’s 2014 New Year’s special “Idol Athletic Championships.”
On January 9, MBC announced, “The recording of ‘Idol Athletic Championships’ will be held on January 13 at the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Stadium and the Students’ Gymnasium.” The network also revealed one of the events will be a futsal (an indoor variation of soccer played with five players on each team) tournament and disclosed the names of the idol stars that will be participating in this event.
Looks like there may be a possibility of Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin starring in a new drama together.
On January 9, a representative of Jo In Sung’s agency disclosed to a Korean media outlet, “Jo In Sung was offered a role in ‘It’s Okay, It’s Love (working title).’ We’ve only received the synopsis.”
A representative of Gong Hyo Jin’s agency also stated, “It is true she has been offered a role and is looking over it.”
“It’s Okay, It’s Love” will be the first Korean psychiatric drama. It will portray the reality of the lives and love of modern day people who live with psychological burdens. It will attempt to give an honest and serious answer to the question, “What do you do when your heart gets a cold, or gets cancer, or gets diabetes?”
Huh, I wouldn’t have pegged Jo In-sung for a second go-around with writer Noh Hee-kyung right away, especially since That Winter, The Wind Blows was his last project. But it looks like a reunion is in the works. He’s being courted to headline her new drama It’s Okay, It’s Love for the coming year alongside Gong Hyo-jin (Master’s Sun). She’s fantastic at comedy and melodrama alike, though in recent years she’s done a lot of rom-coms so it might be a nice change of pace to see her doheavier fare.
Otherwise known as the beloved character Samchunpo from the hit drama series, “Reply 1994,” actor Kim Sung Kyun is shifting gears and preparing to make a comeback to the big screen.
According to his agency representatives, it was reported that the talented actor will be taking on a role in a film on January 11. It was also reported that the actor had received multiple drama and movie offers, despite his previous comments about not getting as many as he had anticipated. The decision to star in a movie instead of a drama was based upon the actor’s preference.
Actor Seo Ha Joon appeared on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together” on January 9, on a “2014 Rising Star” special episode which also featured Kim Sung Kyun, Do Hee, Han Joo Wan and Dal Shabet’s Subin.
He surprised everyone by revealing his real birth year. “I was born in 1989, but I had it raised on my profile. If you look up my profile, I am two years older than my real age.”
