The new SBS drama “Man from the Stars” kicked off on December 18 taking over the Wednesday/Thursday time slot from Heirs. I will be covering this fantasy rom-com for Soompi on a weekly basis. Please be sure to check in and share your thoughts about this drama!
When Do Min Joon landed on Earth 400 years ago, he didn’t realize how much he would dislike living there. He doesn’t age, making it very hard to build relationships with other people, and his super abilities like extra sensitive hearing and the power to stop time don’t seem to do him much good. It’s understandable that over time Min Joon has developed a very cynical outlook towards human life. How will this viewpoint change as he interacts with the loud and opinionated actress Chun Song Yi? As fate would have it, these two already have a deep connection, a connection which spans over 400 years

San ends up finding a pin he gave his mother in the forest and cries now that the reality of her death has come crashing down.
Meanwhile, Takeshi’s dad tells him that he’s taken care of things so that Takeshi will end up playing in the finals (even though his team lost). But their talk is interrupted when San bursts into the house wielding a bat, smashing everything he can before he demands to know where his mother is.
Takeshi’s frightened, but asks San, “Do you have any proof? Do you have any proof I killed her?” This pushes San over the edge as he starts beating the living daylights out of Takeshi until he’s hauled off by the house servants
Park Shin Hye revealed the story behind her hug with Kim Woo Bin that was captured on camera during a dinner party.
In “The Heirs,” which ended on December 12, Kim Woo Bin played Choi Young Do, a bad boy who finally experiences his first love with Park Shin Hye’s character, Cha Eun Sang. However, Eun Sang’s heart belonged to Kim Tan (played by Lee Min Ho) and Young Do’s story of his first love turned out to be a sad one.
However, a video clip of Kim Woo Bin strongly hugging Park Shin Hye delightfully surprised netizens and fans, who wished for Young Do and Eun Sang’s love to come true. Recently, Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin both revealed the story behind that hug during their interviews.
Kim Woo Bin revealed, “At the time, the atmosphere was rising and I got hyped up as well
A secret never stay hidden forever, the truth always prevails. No matter how hard people are trying to hide their secrets, their problems, sooner or later, people will discover them. For Jae Hak and Eun Jin; they know they cannot hide their relationship forever; they’re not naive but obviously they don’t realize that Mi Kyung has already found out about their “humane relationship”. People say the quiet ones usually are the ones who’ll attack and cause extensive damages; so they’d better get ready because Mi Kyung will do anything she can to “torture” them.
One Warm Word Episode 3 Recap by Beatuscorner:

Basketball: Episode 16 RECAP by Drama Beans
Chi-ho proposes, San interrupts, and the factory grandma makes it her goal in life to sing San’s praises so that Shin-young doesn’t have a chance to give her yea or nay on the marriage.
Chi-ho elects to wait while the grandma drags Shin-young with her and a few other workers to see a doctor, and it’s only after they get a checkup that Shin-young hears that the surgery for Bong-soon’s father has already beenpaid for.
And who else should be the benefactor but Chi-ho, who Bong-soon graciously thanks while Shin-young bites her lip nervously. He tells her that he’s going to visit his father to receive his blessing for their marriage, which only makes Shin-young more uncomfortable as her eyes keep darting between him and San
It is very clear that model-turned-actor Kim Woo Bin is no doubt, one of the hottest stars on the market these days.
When he appeared in SBS’ “Gentleman’s Dignity” and KBS’ “School 2013,” he was not as noticed. However, after his stellar performances on SBS’ “The Heirs” and the film “Friend 2,” Kim Woo Bin proved to be a hit-maker and has solidified his position as a top actor.
Even among strong acting seniors such as Yoo Oh Sung and Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin’s charisma still left a deep impression on viewers. His unique face and modelesque body-line aren’t the only factors to his popularity but his acting skills as well. Recently, actresses Jeon Do Hyun and Ha Ji Won picked Kim Woo Bin as the actor they will be keeping an eye on in the future
KBS’s upcoming romantic period noir Age of Feeling has released some photos from their recent poster shoot, and they’re lookin’ pretty good. It’s kind of amazing how Kim Hyun-joong went from playing the quintessential flower boy, all prettiness and gentle demeanor, and now he looks like a pretty creditable tough guy. The transformation really begun with his role in City Conquest, but considering how we never got to actually see any of it, this will be the real debut of Rough-n-Tumble Hyun-joong.
I try not to get too excited about poster shoots or promo materials, because they can often lead you astray and you never know till the actual product is before you. But for promo stills, these are very nice ones, and capture the flavor of the period nicely
Basketball: Episode 15 RECAP by Drama Beans
After San scores Korea’s first one-handed basket, Chi-ho congratulates him. San replies that it wouldn’t have been possible without his help, to which Chi-ho smiles and says, “Thanks to you, I was reminded why I play basketball. My calling as a basketball player… I’ll never forget it again.”
They decide to work together as a team, and we only hear of their win when Daddy Choi does, through the radio. This news, like all other news ever, makes him angry.
Bookie Gong celebrates with his team now that they’ll be competing in the semifinals, and tells everyone that he had a dream about vomiting—so by that logic, he’s vomited out all the bad and that means there’s only good ahead
Empress Ki: Episode 1 - 2 recap by daebakdramas
Empress Ki/Hwatu/기황후 started last week after MBC’s previous sageuk drama (and sadly snooze-fest) “Goddess of Fire Jung Yi”. I consider this a one-off recap for now since Empress Ki will be 50 episodes long and I don’t know if I can hold out that long… Sageuks in general tend to lose me after the first 16 episodes
EPISODE 15 RECAP
Ajumma is seen running on the street calling someone with the narration in the background that coming to the past changes nothing for her in the future. Kim Shin signs his name on the contract and is ready to start working for NTN the next day. NOOOO!
Meanwhile Mi Rae finds out Se Joo was the person who saved her from the ocean. She wonders why he has never told her and that’s because he doesn’t want her to see him as someone who saves her but a normal man who approaches her. He holds up a ring that he has been carrying around for awhile waiting for the right time to give it to her. Se Joo asks Mi Rae sincerely: “Will you accept my heart?”
He puts the ring on the 4th finger of her left hand and while I rage, she actually looks touched

Go Ara, known as one of the top beauties amongst the beauties in SM Entertainment, managed to truly transform for her biggest hit yet, the currently airing Reply 1994. Though a simple haircut and baggy clothes wouldn’t seem to make quite so drastic of a difference, somehow, Go Ara transformed from being a veritable beauty to being a total country bumpkin.
Of course, in her efforts to look prettier for her crush, she does manage to clean up a bit - and her scenes set in present time show a much more presentable image, but we have to say, the unpretentious look has done wonders for Go Ara’s career

Over the course of 5 years since I first knew Lee Min Ho from Boys Over Flowers, he has excelled greatly in acting. The most obvious improvement started from City Hunter when I first noticed he has the ability to emote and convey the emotional changes with his eyes. He has beautiful eyes and this really does become one of his best asset when he uses it to express emotions. He pushes and challenges his boundaries even further when he took on the role of Choi Young in Faith.
Choi Young is written to be a stoic character so this really put Lee Min Ho to the test and challenges him to fully utilize his eyes and facial expression to emote and deliver the emotions across to the viewers. If you think he emote very well in City Hunter, he up the notch by another level in Faith
In November, boy group Infinite embarked on the US leg of their “One Great Step” world tour, beautifully bringing their time in the US to an end with an unforgettable show in NYC. What a rollercoaster night – one filled with tears, laughter, and the undying quench for more. Read on for our full (and detailed) recap of the concert!
The excitement of the fans was evident in the air, hours before the start of the concert. As more and more people began taking over the entire Hammerstein ballroom floor, screams of anticipation could be heard echoing through the venue, while teasers of the show to come played repeatedly on the large screens.
The lights dimmed and seven shadows emerge, each striking a pose behind a large, white screen. All of a sudden, the curtains fell, and the seven members of Infinite began swaying powerfully to the music, as they prepare to get into formation

Se Joo walks into the meeting room, introduces himself as Miranda’s grandson who inherits her blood and money but there is one thing that cannot be inherited and that is a challenging mind. He delivers an ambitious speech of his plans for making YBS into a media station that keeps challenging itself and into a media conglomerate that is recognized worldwide.
Mi Rae tries to get a grip of herself in the ladies after getting officially rejected by Shin, Writer Bae walks in and queries her regarding her Christmas date. Meanwhile, PD Lee wakes up from his little drooling nap (yes, there is drool on the desk) and sees Se Joo looking down on him, frowning. LOL. PD Lee obviously has no idea and continues to mock Se Joo but changes tone straight away and shuns Se Joo aside when the vice director enters the office
Do we have any Soompiers out there who remember dial-up internet and having to listen to this to get to spazz out on that strange thing called the Internet with other fangirls and fanboys? You probably remember Yoo Seung Jun being the original hot bad boy rapper of K-Pop; he was also a Korean-American with rock-hard abs who left South Korea in ignominy (Jay Park wasn’t the first). You probably also remember when Uhm Jung Hwa was the sexiest solo singer on the scene (Hyori had to wait her turn).
With that in mind, “Flashback Friday” will feature artists from days of yore when K-Pop wasn’t so polished but still just as shiny.
Today’s Flashback Friday features Fin.K.L!
Back in the summer of 2012, many fans were excited to learn about the release of Junsu’s (XIA‘s) new English single album, “Uncommitted.” The album opened a new understanding towards the singer’s ability to digest and express different musical ranges. Many have wondered about the American producer behind the English song “Uncommitted”. The question might have occurred again this past summer, when the same producer of “Uncommitted” had worked with Junsu to create the song “Incredible,” the Korean and English title song featuring Quincy Brown in Junsu’s second solo album.
American producer Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer, CEO of InRage Entertainment, is the mastermind behind “Uncommitted” and “Incredible,” two completely opposite styled songs that managed to fit perfectly with Junsu’s vocals
Nine: Series review
To get a fuller intro into the show, you can catch our recaps for Episode 1 and Episode 2, but I’ll give an abbreviated setup anyway:
Our hero is Park Sun-woo (Lee Jin-wook), a successful news anchor who sees every scenario through a no-nonsense, facts-first lens. He has an older brother who’s a wandering lost soul, as weak-willed as Sun-woo is strong; his ailing mother lives in a nursing home with dementia; and his father, a hospital director, was killed twenty years ago in a fire.
It’s the last point that sticks with Sun-woo even now, because while the hospital fire was ruled an accident, he believes otherwise. It was curious how his father’s ambitious friend soon took over the hospital and benefited handsomely, turning it into a large operation and becoming the rich chairman he is today

It’s the holiday season, and while the generous atmosphere warms up your mood, 2PM’s involvement in the “Letter of Angels” photoshoot will melt your heart.
2PM participated in the “2013 Letters of Angels” photoshoot, posing with an adopted infant to raise adoption awareness. JYP Entertainment commented, “Last year Nichkhun first participated in “Letters of Angels” and began a relationship with the adoptees. Despite 2PM’s busy schedule, each member united with one heart to participate in the campaign. During the recent photoshoot, the members spent a love filled time with the infant.”
As “Letters of Angels” concludes its 11th edition this year, the campaign, sponsored by Korea’s Social Welfare Society, captures the photos of Korea’s adoptees on their 100th day
