Popular actors Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun, and Lee Min Ho will be up against each other for the “Best Actor Award” at the upcoming 2014 Korea Drama Awards.
In its seven years, the Korean Drama Awards considers dramas from all three major broadcasting networks KBS, SBS, and MBC, along with cable dramas.
In the Best Actor category, Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun were both nominated for their work in “My Love from the Star,” while Lee Min Ho was nominated for “The Heirs.” Ha Ji Won was nominated for “Empress Ki” and Jo Jae Hyun was nominated for “Jeong Do Jeon.”
In the Best Drama category, “King’s Family,” “Empress Ki,” “My Love from the Star,” “Jeongdojeon,” and “Secret Love Affair” were nominated
Infinite"s L, also known as Kim Myungsoo, has been cast in a new role. He will have a part in the upcoming SBS drama "My Lovely Girl," which also stars Rain.
True to life, he will play a flower boy singer, and although several singers will appear in the drama, his role will be an important one. The drama is also notable because it marks Rain"s small screen comeback.
It won"t be L"s first time playing a musician in a drama as he played an indie band member who goes on to be an idol in "Shut Up Flower Boy Band."

As mentioned earlier, "Fated To Love You" is the next Taiwanese drama up for a Korean remake, and starring in it will be Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra, who will be rekindling their onscreen romance once again through this production after 12 years. Joining them may be Choi Jin Hyuk as he is currently in discussion to play the secondary male protagonist.
His agency Red Brick House said on April 23, "We received the offer for "Fated To Love You" and are reviewing it positively. If he ends up appearing in it, it would be his last production before enlisting in the army." He will be joining the Seoul National Police Agency in the performance unit sometime this year.

Although celebrations are in order for the conclusion of drama productions, with the mood still grim in light of the Sewol tragedy, drama teams are canceling their wrap-up parties.
On April 21, the production company affiliate for MBC’s Cunning Single Lady revealed that the fees for the drama’s wrap-up party were instead donated to the Korean Salvation Army. The total donation was four million won.
“We set aside a budget just for the wrap-up party dinner, but we decided to have a loud party during this tragedy would not be right” said the staff. “Instead, we decided to use the fees for the rescue operations in the Sewol incident.”
On top of that, Joo Sang Wook donated 30 million won separately to help the families of the victims, after seeing some of the actors on the team gathering money for donations
The new MBC drama Cunning Single Lady is a fun and modern drama about love and revenge. The drama portrays the relationship between divorced lovers when they meet again after three years of no contact. The ex-husband Jung Woo (Joo Sang-Wook) is now a top business man and multimillionaire, and the ex-wife Na Ae Ra (Lee Min-Jung) lived clueless of her ex-husband’s success for three years.
