Big Episode 11 Spoilers Korean Drama
Warning- there are spoilers for the first ten episodes of ‘To the Beautiful You‘ ahead!
Due to what is either poor planning or unfortunate timing, the idol-laden KBS drama ‘To the Beautiful You’ has been struggling to gain viewers, consistently coming last in broadcast ratings for its Wednesday and Thursday night slots. This may be due to premiering during the final episodes of the wildly-popular ‘Bridal Mask‘ (KBS2), and now running at the same time as another popular drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘ (MBC).In addition, this drama runs late at night, even though it is targeted at a younger demographic of viewers and should probably be playing a little earlier in the evening.
The new SBS drama “Man from the Stars” kicked off on December 18 taking over the Wednesday/Thursday time slot from Heirs. I will be covering this fantasy rom-com for Soompi on a weekly basis. Please be sure to check in and share your thoughts about this drama!
When Do Min Joon landed on Earth 400 years ago, he didn’t realize how much he would dislike living there. He doesn’t age, making it very hard to build relationships with other people, and his super abilities like extra sensitive hearing and the power to stop time don’t seem to do him much good. It’s understandable that over time Min Joon has developed a very cynical outlook towards human life. How will this viewpoint change as he interacts with the loud and opinionated actress Chun Song Yi? As fate would have it, these two already have a deep connection, a connection which spans over 400 years. Get ready for a romance that is out of this world!
Warning: Contains Spoilers
Last year, tvN scored a smash hit with “Reply 1997,” transporting us to a much simpler decade infused with nostalgia, growing pains, 90s pop culture and fan girls. The drama premiered with little hype, but gained recognition through word of mouth, becoming a sensation and breaking the 6% ratings barrier, considered to be high for a cable drama, and that’s not even counting the rebroadcasts. In fact, Episodes 15 and 16 of “Reply 1997” was broadcast on tvN, Olive, Mnet, OCN, Onstyle and Ongamenet simultaneously. Set in 1997 Busan, “Reply 1997″ was the coming-of-age story of a group of high schoolers who grow through their own share of teenage troubles. Set in high school, the kids were faced with teenage problems such as the hopes and dreams for the future, the mystery of girls and the era of first loves.
I think it”s pretty safe to say that I did not watch every single drama that aired in Korea in 2013, but out of the ones I did watch, there was one that I was obsessed with. There was another one I cannot believe to this day that I even finished considering how terrible it was but I”ll get to that next week. This week is a focus on the good and keep in mind once again that I did not watch every drama so this is what I consider the best drama of 2013 out of the ones I”ve watched (SPOILERS BELOW).
Joseon Gunman, Episodes 5-14: Gunning for Revenge Written by Joyce On August 20, 2014
Joseon Gunman is practically synonymous with Lee Jun-ki, serving as an extension of his action-filled resume. The more I watch, the more amazed I am how how far he has come since his My Girl days, carving a niche for himself as an action thriller star.
Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead.
After the first four episodes laid the groundwork for his revenge motive, the darker plot and tone starts to really kick in from there onwards. Yoon-kang (Lee Jun-ki) doesn’t disappoint as a lead character, bringing to the plate an intricately woven transformation from a carefree nobleman to a gunman full of vengeance, equipped with a occasionally questionable moral compass. The sneaky thing about portraying lead characters in a 100% heroic light is that it often leaves the hero’s actions predictable and obvious. Yoon-kang deviates from this norm, making clear that his life has been too unfair for him to care about anyone other than himself. His one goal is to take revenge for his father, and he’s doesn’t care who gets in his way. He’s so disillusioned to the point that he went as far as to slap his sister, Yeon-ha, to keep up the ruse that he’s merely a Japanese businessman.

SB End-Of-Year Review: The Best Dramas Of 2014 Written by Seoulbeats On December 18, 2014
2014 was a year when we saw everything from alien to liars to remakes in the drama-sphere. Export prices for dramas shot up the roof this past year, and it’s a good reminder that the Korean wave is more than just about music and idols, as Korean dramas certainly have their own attraction as they actually appeal to a wider range of audience, young and old. Following up from the mid-year review, the drama fanatics on the team are back to bring you our thoughts and feelings on 2014′s showing.
A Test of Endurance: Persevere Goo Hae-ra Ep. 1-4 Written by Chelsea On February 7, 2015
With script writers and producers from broadcasts like Real Men, Music Bank, Superstar K and Dancing 9 participating, Persevere Goo Hae-ra was loaded with potential as a musical drama — especially when one factors in its high production value by Mnet. Unfortunately, those expectations have fallen flat on their face and been repeatedly run over. It’s not simply that Persevere, Goo Hae-ra is disappointing — it’s just plain bad.

On June 17, Ilgan Sports published an article which announced that the final episodes of “Producer” were being filmed on a delayed schedule, preventing the release of spoilers. According to the report, episode 11 had not been taped by June 17.
A representative for the KBS drama provided further details. “The script for the ending scenario has not come out, yet,” said a member of the production team. “[We] are currently finishing with shooting episode 11.”

The penultimate episode of “Producer” aired on June 19, recording 13.4 percent of nationwide viewers. The eleventh episode experienced a decrease of 1.2 percent in viewers from what was previously recorded on June 13. The drama aired an extended episode which examined its complex love lines from the perspective of ratings. Although, the docu-drama genre was slightly abandoned, the penultimate episode incorporated the shooting style to provide interstitial commentary from the main characters.
