After listening to Girls’ Generation’s newest album “Mr. Mr.” a few times, I have to admit it’s an enjoyable and addicting album. The newly released six track album is exciting with each track having a unique sound and vibe. Some songs have an acoustic feel, while others have a more electronic dance sound. Some songs offer support, and other songs just make you want to dance. Lets take a closer look at the six songs from Girls’ Generation’s fourth mini album “Mr. Mr.” below.

Infinite brought the heat back home to fans in Korea.
Infinite held its concert, INFINITE-ONE GREAT STEP RETURNS, on February 28 in Olympic Park’s Gymnastic Arena, bringing over 10,000 fans in Korea and showing off more advanced and upgraded performances after completing a world tour.
Starting the show with Destiny, Infinite brought out loud cheers from fans by performing many of its hit songs. Apart from the group performances, the solo performances of members caught the most attention from fans. Infinite H, which includes Hoya and Dong Woo, even presented a new song for the fans, Alone.
Nam Woo Hyun sang a self-composed ballad song and accompanied himself on the piano, and Sung Kyu also performed his solo song from last year.
Infinite also surprised fans by forming a new vocal line unit, Infinite F, made up of Sung Jong, L and Sung Yeol, and performed My Heart is Beating (translated) for the first time
TVXQ’s Yunho has been appointed as an honorary ambassador for a Christian NGO (non-governmental organization), “Korea Food for the Hungry International” (KFHI).
Yunho was officially named as an honorary ambassador at the appointment ceremony held at the NGO’s executive office in Seoul on March 3.
He will join 24 existing KFHI ambassadors, including actors Im Dong Jin, Jo Min Ki, Jung Tae Woo, Kim Jung Hwa, Kwon Oh Joong and Park Shin Hye, and meet children suffering from poverty and disease, as well as help promote the organization’s activities.
Yunho got to know about KFHI last September through KBS 1TV’s “Road for Hope,” where he helped to build an education center in the village of Bolgatanga in northern Ghana
The producers of SBS"s "Running Man" apologized after eagle-eyed viewers caught a small graphic that had been created on Ilbe, the infamously controversial online community.
The latest episode saw the cast members teaming up with students from many different universities, including Korea University. The editing team inserted a small university logo to represent the three-member group.
Unfortunately, the logo they had used was not the official Korea University insignia, but rather an edited image produced by Ilbe. Since Ilbe carries a negative reputation in South Korea, being connected with several instances of illegal acts, anti-government rhetoric and a generally unhealthy online environment, viewers were upset at the misuse of the logo.
The show"s producers quickly apologized after this mistake came to light
Soyu and Jungigo’s “Some” not only repeated as No. 1 on our chart this week, but it becomes the first song in more than five and a half years to achieve a perfect score of 1000 points. The last song did it was Lee Hyori’s “U-Go-Girl” back in August Week 3 of 2008.
“Some” swept all the music shows last week and was also topped both GAON and Billboard Korea. It is still winning on music shows this week, and will be the favorite to be our No. 1 song for the third consecutive weeks next week. The question is whether “Some” can have another perfect score. We’ll find out next week.
Coming in a distant second to “Some” is our highest top 10 entry this week. Moving up 19 spots to No. 2 is a very special collaboration between Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and SHINee’s Jonghyun
Solo artist Lyn‘s “My Destiny” from “Man from the Stars” OST has been met with a hot response once again.
As of March 1, the song can be seen on top of iTunes Single Chart in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and in the top 20 of charts in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
“My Destiny” is not the only OST track of the drama to perform extremely well, as popular OST tracks Sung Si Kyung‘s “Every Moment of You” and Hyorin‘s “Hello” are also ranking high.
This is a significant achievement considering that Lyn is a female solo artist. Until now, groups like Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, Big Bang, and 2NE1 have performed well on charts all over Asia, but it is very rare for a female ballad singer to produce such a hit

Girl’s Day member Minah recently interviewed and modeled for the latest issue of “GQ Korea” magazine.
She told “GQ Korea,” “It was stressful to hear that my cute appearance didn’t necessarily go with the sexy concept I was going for. However, I think it’s only natural as time goes on that I eventually show my sexiness, since I’m a woman too.
When asked if she makes an effort to look sexy, she replied, “When you make a cute face and a sexy face, you use different facial muscles. The muscles for cute expressions are near your eyes, and you don’t really use any facial movement for sexy expressions.”
In related news, Girl’s Day wrapped up promotions for their successful hit, “Something” with an even hotter sexy concept!

I’ve now been promoted as the official penguin of the Soompi network, hence why I have that awesome “Le Penguin Officiel” tag in the comment section. Thanks to our dear leader, soomp, for that amazing addition. You should start seeing the other editors and writers on the team getting their own unique tags over the coming weeks.
Anyway first point of business for the official penguin is to discuss the age old question of when to call it quits, because nothing really lasts forever.
